When I arrived daughter Stephanie was there checking doctor Vespers glucose. Apparently he had some problems yesterday and his glucose was up around 500. Doctor Vesper was given 10 units of insulin this morning Stephanie returned around lunch and again checked his glucose levels which were up to 418 and he received 15 units of insulin.
I proceeded to give Rose her morning pill and eye drops, clean the cat’s litter box and got Rose ready for the morning. Her pad was wet but not soaked through to her pajamas. I got her dressed but she was very rigid so I left her pajama top on her.
I gave Rose her morning pills and then got her breakfast together. For breakfast she had toasted English muffin with butter and 2 slices of bacon, orange juice with Miralax.
Doctor Vesper stayed up all day, watching the news on hurricane Irma and Rose sat beside him quietly. At 12 I took her for her for morning restroom break because she seemed stressed. I thought maybe she had to have a bowel movement. But she was completely dry.
2 p.m. I gave her afternoon medication and for lunch she had cottage cheese with pineapple. And then watched the birds outside of the window for a little bit while she napped. Afternoon restroom break at 4:10. Again pad was dry and clean however while sitting on the toilet she did have gas and passed two very small bm’s. I wiped her up and took her back to Doctor Vesper.
Rose did have 12 oz of orange juice this morning and 24 oz of water.
