The bathroom door sometimes locks itself. If you open the bathroom door too hard, the door knob can hit the closet door knob, which lines up perfectly with the lock button. Always walk in the bathroom with Dr. Vesper, all the way to the commode. If you’re behind him, he can’t close the door. This allows you to leave the door slightly ajar when you exit the bathroom, so you can monitor his movement from the hallway. In the event you still find yourself locked out of the bathroom, there is a key over the bathroom door. Because of the hard surfaces, I consider this one of the most dangerous rooms in the house, never disallow yourself access.

I do walk in with him. But in the future I will do as you suggest. Thank you for the info.
