5:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was in the bathroom.  Stephanie M. filled me in on the day’s events before she left.  After Dr. Vesper finished in the bathroom, I helped him get into a fresh pair of pajamas, then to the living room to watch TV as I began dinner prep.  It was a quiet dinner as we watched a show featuring various weather and storm phenomena.  He enjoyed a hearty appetite and ate well.

7:00-9:00     After dinner, Dr. Vesper returned to the living room while I cleaned the kitchen and microwave, loaded and ran the dishwasher, then set out breakfast items and morning medications.  At bedtime, I gave him his medication, then waited as he performed his evening routine.  By the time he got to bed, he was quite fatigued and required some assistance getting into bed.  As always, he was very gracious as we said good night.

Dinner:     Salad, meatloaf, green beans, mashed potatoes, croissant roll, diet cherry 7up, and ice cream (Lactaid)

5:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was in the living room watching TV.  Michele brought me up to speed on the day’s events before she left.  Shortly after, Stephanie arrived to begin some of the dinner prep for Lily’s birthday party.  She left, then Andrew came to finish.  There was very little for me to do, so I enjoyed chatting with Dr. Vesper and sharing some pictures.  Prior to the guests arriving, he stated he was tired, but had much more energy once he was seated at the table.  We enjoyed a delicious dinner and great conversation.  His blood glucose level prior to eating was 125.

7:00-9:00     After dinner, everyone pitched in to clear the dishes, load the dishwasher, and clean the kitchen.  They returned to the living room to watch Lily open her gifts.  I spent this time putting away a few pots/pans, setting out breakfast items and morning medications, taking out the trash, and touching up the bathroom.  Once the guests left, I gave Dr. Vesper his night time medication, assisted him to the bathroom, then to bed.  He seemed tired, but very happy as we said good night.

Dinner:     Tuscan chicken, fresh green beans, mashed potatoes, baked crusty bread, diet cherry 7up, cake and ice cream.

Visitors:     Stephanie, Andrew, Lily, Charlotte, and Mary Lou.
