He walked more than half way before sitting down in the wc
Dr Vesper saw the paper on the table and inquired about the President being in the hospital. I reminded him about the virus and that was why we are having to wear masks. After explaining the President’s situation I commented that I wondered what Rose would think of everything going on but he did not reply.

5:00-7:00     As is customary, Dr. Vesper was dozing in his recliner when I arrived.  However, he woke quickly to say hello.   Stephanie and I discussed the day’s events before she left.  I took Doctor’s dinner order and began cooking.   When it was time to eat, he was sleeping more deeply and was fairly confused as to the time of day.  He maintained that he was very hungry and had a healthy appetite once we made it to the table.  His blood glucose level prior to eating was 139 and he took his evening medications at the end of his meal.

7:00-9:00     The remainder of the evening ran in quiet, routine fashion.  Dr. Vesper returned to the living room while I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, took out trash, and set out breakfast items and morning medications.  I joined him for a few minutes in the living room and he was far more interactive than the previous two nights.  We enjoyed good conversation and a few minutes of Monday night football before it was time to get ready for bed.  He ambulated to the bathroom with me following close behind with the wheelchair.  His legs were weak, but he was determined to make it there without a ride.  I assisted him in the bathroom, then helped him into bed when he was finished.  As always, he was quite gracious in his thanks for all of our care.

Dinner:     Salad, chicken cordon bleu, macaroni and cheese, peas, garlic toast, and diet cherry 7up.

5:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was napping in his recliner.  While he slept, Stephanie brought me up to speed on the day’s events.  I prepped the salad, then woke Doctor to take his dinner order.  He continued sleeping until dinner was served.  He ate well and finished his entire meal.  He received his evening medication before returning to the living room.

7:00-8:00     While Dr. Vesper watched TV, I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, and set out breakfast items and morning medications.  I joined him for a few minutes of conversation and television watching until it was time to get ready for bed.  I assisted him in the bathroom, then helped him into bed.  I tucked him in and said good night.

Dinner:     Salad, ginger and sesame marinated baked salmon, wild rice, peas, corn bread toaster round, and diet cherry 7up.

5:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was napping in his recliner.  Michele and I discussed the day’s events before she left.  I woke Dr. Vesper long enough to announce my arrival and get his dinner order.  While I was cooking, he received a call from Mary and enjoyed a short chat with her.  When it was time to eat, there was some confusion as to the location of the dining room.  However, Doctor enjoyed a hearty appetite and quickly completed 100%  of his meal.  His blood glucose level prior to eating was 140.  He received his evening medication after eating.

7:00-9:00     After dinner, Dr. Vesper returned to the living room while I cleaned the kitchen and microwave, washed the dishes, and set out breakfast items and morning medications.  Though I tried to engage him in conversation, he dozed the remainder of my shift till bedtime.  I assisted him to the bathroom for his night time routine, then helped him into bed.  He was very fatigued as I tucked him in and said good night.
