COMMENTS: I got Dr. Vesper up after I got the groceries put away. He was completely soaked with urine, we did a complete sponge bath and put on dry clothes before breakfast. He ate and took a.m. meds. In the afternoon, he had lunch, watched TV, did exercise and napped while I did chores and laundry. Danny and Tyler were gone most of the day, Danny picked up steaks on the way home. Danny pulled the grill out and grilled the steaks while Jessica made the vegetables. They invited Stephanie to dinner to celebrate their ninth anniversary. After dinner, Dr. Vesper watched TV until bedtime. I finished the laundry and did the December calendar. I sat the table for breakfast and morning meds. He took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

COMMENTS:  I took care of Kemper and Hillary. I got Dr. Vesper up, he had morning meds with breakfast. He had a shave & a shower and dressed after breakfast. I gave Dr. Vesper a glucerna instead of his regular lunch, since dinner was going to be early. Jessica and I made a couple of side dishes while we waited for Stephanie to arrive with the turkey. Mary Lou, Rick and Carol arrived at 4p. Dinner ran late, but everyone enjoyed visiting while we waited. We had a great dinner, everything was delicious. Everyone helped with clearing the table, storing the leftovers and loading the dishwasher. I sat the table for morning breakfast and a.m. meds. Dr. Vesper took his p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

COMMENTS: I took care of Kemper & Hillary when I arrived and did chores before getting Dr. Vesper up. He ate breakfast and took his morning meds. After breakfast, I gave him a sponge bath and helped him get dressed. He did exercise, relaxed and watched TV, but mostly slept. Jessica made dinner tonight, Stephanie joined us since her family left for Texas today to spend Thanksgiving with grandma Gephardt. After dinner Dr. Vesper watched TV while I sat the table for breakfast and prepared morning meds. He took his p.m. meds and I helped him get ready for bed.

COMMENTS: I took care of Hillary and Kemper when I arrived. I got Dr. Vesper up, he was pretty wet, so I gave him a complete sponge bath and a complete set of dry clothes. He had breakfast and took his AM meds after getting dressed. In the afternoon, he had lunch, exercised and napped while watching TV.  After dinner he watched TV while we cleared the table and loaded the DW. I prepared morning meds and breakfast setup for tomorrow. Dr. Vesper took his pm meds and prepared for bed.

NAP: Yes / A very sleepy day, slept through most of the afternoon, including a Mani-pedi, but of course, he was wide awake at bedtime

CHORES: Fed Kemper & Hillary, filled water bowls, cleaned litter box, swept front entrance, cleaned glass doors, vacuumed floors, laundry (Sheets), sanitized kitchen counters, made bed, touched up bathrooms and prepared meals

COMMENTS: Dr. Vesper got up at 10:30a, he had his morning meds with breakfast. I gave him a sponge bath and helped him get dressed after breakfast. He had lunch in the afternoon, but that was the extent of his activities. He slept very soundly all afternoon, even while I worked on his finger and toenails. Stephanie prepared a pasta dish for dinner. I made Dr. Vesper a salad, which he ate while she was preparing dinner. Jennifer had dinner and spent the evening with Mary Lou. Stephanie and Jessica did most of the cleanup and loaded the dishwasher while I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  Everyone said goodbye to Jennifer before going home and/or to bed, she has an early flight home tomorrow morning. Dr. Vesper took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

NOTE: Dr. Vesper still had a problem with weak legs today and had to have some assistance, but did use the walker most of the day.

COMMENT: After taking care of Kemper and Hillary, I got Dr. Vesper up, he had his morning meds with breakfast. Jennifer had left earlier to spend some time with Mary to work on her family history project. After breakfast I gave him a shave & shower and helped him get dressed. In the afternoon, he watched TV while I helped Jennifer get dinner into the oven and onto the table. Everyone arrived around 2p. We all enjoyed a nice dinner, dessert and after dinner conversation around the table. Alan became more anxious than usual and was ready to go home after dessert. Mary, Alan & Veva left, but Chuck and Joan stayed a while longer to visit. Everyone helped with cleanup and it was in the early evening. Dr. Vesper watch TV until bedtime. I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  He took his p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

NOTE: Dr. Vesper had issues with walking today, his legs were very weak and had to be assisted with the wheelchair on two occasions. Halfway to the bathroom, his legs gave out and I had to have Jennifer bring the wheelchair to rescue him. Always use your better judgment when he tells you he can make it with the walker. Had I been alone with him, I would not have relied on his assessment.

COMMENTS: I did the grocery shopping this morning and got everything put away, then I took care of Hillary & Kemper before getting Dr. Vesper up. He had breakfast and took his morning meds. After breakfast, he had a shave and shower and got dressed. Jennifer made it home in time to have lunch with her dad. He watched college football after lunch. Stephanie picked Jessica and Tyler up at the Airport, they were home by 5p. I made Dr. Vesper a salad, Stephanie picked up pizza for dinner. Dr. Vesper watched TV until bedtime. I prepared a few side dishes for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow with Dr. Vesper’s siblings. I gave him his p.m. meds and he got ready for bed.  I set the table with morning meds and breakfast for tomorrow.
