5:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was sleeping in his recliner.  Michele filled me in on the day’s events before she left.  I woke Dr. Vesper long enough to say hello and collect his dinner order.  While I cooked he slept soundly until it was time to eat.  When it was time to come to the table, he requested a ride in the wheelchair, but made the transfer easily.  He ate fairly well, but not with his usual gusto.  He did not want to finish his meal, but asked me to open the “Grandpad” instead.  Together we enjoyed picture viewing until he was ready to return to the living room.  Prior to eating Doctor’s blood glucose level was 195, requiring 2 units of insulin.

7:00-9:00     After dinner, Dr. Vesper again slept in his recliner while I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, and set out breakfast items and morning medications.  At bedtime I gave him his evening medications and wheeled him into the bathroom for his night time routine.  When he was finished, he elected to use the walker to get to the bedroom.  Once in bed I tucked him in and said good night.

Dinner:     Salad, sesame-ginger baked salmon, wild rice, peas, toaster corn bread round, and diet cherry 7up.  No dessert.

Top sheet and mattress protection was soaked. I changed him in the bed. He was very dizzy and choose to use the wheel chair this morning. After breakfast, into the LR. He slept soundly until I woke him for lunch at 2pm.
At first Dr. Vesper refused to go to the restroom in the afternoon. I told him ok we would wait awhile. When approached again he gave me a polite but firm no thank you. I told him we have to because if not Mossy would get me and I’m more afraid of her than you. He chuckled and got up. He wanted to walk to the rr but struggled and agreed to take a ride back.
