COMMENTS:  I fed the animals and then got Dr. Vesper up, he ate breakfast and took a.m. meds. After breakfast I gave Dr. Vesper a shave and shower and helped him get dressed. He had lunch, watched TV, did exercise and napped while I finished chores and did laundry. After dinner, he watched TV until bedtime. I set the table for breakfast and morning meds. He took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

COMMENTS:  I arrived at 8 AM to let Aaronco into the attic to replace the coils.  I fed Kemper and Hillary, filled the water bowls and cleaned the litter box. When Elena arrived, I left for an appointment with the Subaru, just needed a new battery, no electrical problems. I got Dr. Vesper up as soon as I returned, he had a sponge bath and dressed before breakfast. He had his morning meds with breakfast. Dr. Vesper had lunch in the afternoon and watched TV and napped while I continued with chores. After dinner, I did the dishes and set the table for morning breakfast and a.m. meds. Dr. Vesper took his p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

COMMENTS: I took care of Kemper & Hillary when I arrived and did chores before getting Dr. Vesper up. He ate breakfast and took his morning meds. After breakfast, I gave him a sponge bath and helped him get dressed. He did exercise, relaxed, watched TV and napped. After dinner Dr. Vesper watched TV while I sat the table for breakfast and prepared morning meds. He took his p.m. meds and I helped him get ready for bed.

COMMENTS: I fed Hillary and Kemper, filled water bowls, emptied litter box. I got Dr. Vesper up, he had a sponge bath and got dressed before breakfast. He took his AM meds with breakfast. In the afternoon, he had lunch, watched TV, exercised and took a nap. Jeannie had a meeting in New Richmond tonight so she stopped by to pay a few bills. After dinner he watched TV while I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I prepared morning meds and breakfast setup for tomorrow. Dr. Vesper took his pm meds and prepared for bed.

4:00-7:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was in his recliner watching TV.  While he perused his mail, Mossy brought me up to speed on the day’s events.  She had the table set and all of the prep work done for dinner making it a very easy start to my day.  After she left, I sat with Dr. Vesper and chatted until it was time to start cooking.  When it was dinner time, he ate fairly well, but did not complete his entire meal.  His blood glucose level prior to eating was 119.

7:00-9:00     After dinner, Dr. Vesper returned to the living room while I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, set out breakfast items and morning medications, and took out the trash.  At bedtime, I gave Doctor his evening medications, then helped him to the bathroom for his night time toilette.  He refused to use the commode earlier, but fortunately there were no leaks.  Once in bed, I tucked him in and said good night.  As always, he expressed his appreciation for us caregivers.

Dinner:     Salad, pan seared cod, steamed fresh vegetables (carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower), wild rice, dinner roll, and diet cherry 7up.

Visitors:     Stephanie and Andrew stopped by for a brief visit and to borrow the van.

Aaronco – Checked coils in attic and located leaks, will order replacement parts and schedule appointment for Thursday 2/27

COMMENTS:
I met a Aaronco here at 8 AM, he finished up his inspection in the attic, gave me a quote for needed repairs and was out of here by 9:30.  After feeding the animals and giving Kemper his meds, I got Dr. Vesper up. He had breakfast and morning meds. I gave him a sponge bath and helped him get dressed. He did exercise and had lunch, followed by TV & snoozing. I filled in for Stephanie M today, Susan relieved me at 4p.

NOTE: Dr. Vesper was fairly dry this morning, he had use the urinal a couple of times, depends where wet, but bed and pajamas dry. His clothes and the chair remained dry all afternoon, I did put dry depends on him mid afternoon. The big difference was he did not pull his pants down either overnight or during the day, what came out was contained by the depends.

3:00-6:00     When I arrived, Dr. Vesper was napping in his chair.  He woke long enough to say hello, but fell back to sleep.  Michele and I discussed the day’s events before she left.  It was a very quiet start to my shift as Dr. Vesper continued to nap nearly till dinner time.  Whenever he did stir, I would encourage him to come to the bathroom, but he declined.  He stated he was very tired and had no appetite, but felt fine.  He requested that I turn the TV off.  In the meantime I ran the sweeper, fed Kemper (including his pill), and began cooking.  When it was time for dinner, Dr. Vesper seemed rested and stated he was getting hungry.  Prior to coming to the table, we went to the bathroom for a pajama change.  The chair cover was also wet, so I began a load of laundry.  Doctor was able to ambulate to the bathroom and back to the dining room and continued to do so the entire shift.  Once at the table he ate well and I was able to engage him in some good conversation.

6:00-9:00     After dinner, Dr. Vesper returned to the living room to watch TV while I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, and set out breakfast items and morning medications.  I finished the laundry, and at bedtime gave Dr. Vesper his evening medications.  I assisted him in the bathroom with his night time toilette, then helped him into bed.  I tucked him in and said good night.
