I arrived at 10. Took care of Hillary, Kemper had already been fed by Jessica. Jessica, Danny and Tyler left for the afternoon. Mossy arrived for a short visit. Dr. Vesper up at 12:45. He had breakfast and meds, to restroom then watched tv. I cleaned glass on front doors, swept and vacuumed, done dishes, santitized counters and made bed. Was a quiet day today.

I arrived at 10. Peeked in at Dr. Vesper. He was sleeping. Took care of Hillary and Kemper. I swept, vacuumed, cleaned glass throughout living area, sanitized counters and appliances. Jessica and Tyler came over for a short visit before heading out for a play date. Tryed multiple times to get Dr. Vesper up. He finally agreed at 1:45 after stating he had no reason to get up anymore, since his Rose was gone. He ate breakfast and then went to his recliner. I done dishes and set table for dinner. Very quiet day.

I arrived at 10. Stephanie (daughter) was there. Took care of Kemper and Hillary. Checked on Rose. She was resting. I checked on her and moistened her mouth every 10 minutes during the day. While she rested I swept, vacuumed, sanitized counters, table and appliances, cleaned glass on front doors, all other doors and windows and tabletop and straightened up bathrooms. Stephanie convinced Dr. Vesper to get up at 11:30. I changed Rose’s wet depend at 11:45. Stephanie left shortly after to go get Jessica and Tyler from the airport. Mossy arrived. Dr. Vesper went to lay down with Rose for a few hours this afternoon. Stephanie, Jessica, Tyler and Charlotte arrived. Dr. Vesper came out to living room. Roses breathing continued to be labored. She got her first dose of morphine at 3:45. No real change in breathing. Mossy left for awhile. Susan arrived and we both changed Rose depend and got her settled.

I arrived at 10. Went to give Rose her Levo. She was gasping for breath, so did not try to give the pill. She calmed down a little. Took care of Kemper and Hillary. Went to get Rose up at 10:30. She was gasping for breath again. I called Mossy, who called hospice. Mossy had me change Rose depend but leave her pj’s on her. She had very thick dark urine and a trace of bm in her depend. Took her out to living area. She could barely swallow water given from a spoon. Hospice nurse arrived at 11. Susan and Mossy shortly after. Nurse done her evaluation and called family. Mossy, Susan and I cleaned Rose up and settled her in chair. Mossy and Susan left and I tried to get Rose to eat but would not swallow. Dr. Vesper up at 12:45. Very quiet today. He took meds. It was a quiet afternoon of trying to give Rose a small amount of water, most just fell out of her mouth. Tried to keep her comfy. Her pad was dry when I checked her at 4:30.

URINE/BM OUTPUT: wet upon waking, dry at 12:30, dry at 4:30.
CHORES: sanitized counters, done dishes, ran and unloaded dishwasher, made bed, tidied up bathrooms, cleaned glass on front door, swept floors

COMMENTS: I arrived at 10, gave Rose her Levo and eye drops, took care of Kemper and Hillary, got Rose up at 10:30. She was wet. Sponge bath and changed. Had a hard time eating at breakfast, took a long time to just get the cream of wheat ate, did not eat toast. teeth brushed, rested while I done some chores. Rose to restroom at 12:30. Dr. Vesper up at 12:45. Rose done ROM exercises, did eat all at lunch,but it took a very long time. teeth brushed, meds, rested while I cleaned up. Restroom at 4:30.

Note: Much different day today, barely able to use straw, did not eat well. Would not chew or swallow. Kemper also having an off day. Did not eat his morning food. He did eat at 4, though.
