COMMENTS:
Rose relaxed after breakfast while I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes. Rose had a late day shower after lunch and 2 PM meds. She had a nice long nap before dinner. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, had his usual protein bar & coffee when he got up the second time around 2p. After going through the mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV. After dinner, they watched TV while I cleaned up the kitchen, folded towels and prepared for bedtime routine.
NOTE:
I talked to Pat at Dr. Wilson’s office this morning regarding Dr. @ Vesper’s eye issue. Dr. Wilson wasn’t in the office, she called later to say they had scheduled Dr. Vesper for a carotid artery ultrasound on Monday at Anderson Mercy, Stephanie later changed it to the Christ building on Beechmont. I asked Pat if it was OK for Dr. Vesper to drive, she said as long as he could see, he could drive. However, she said he probably shouldn’t drive since he doesn’t know when these episodes are going to happen and how long they will last. I was able to convince him it was not safe for him to drive until we figure out what is going on with him. He didn’t leave the house today, no church, no gym, I picked up the mail for him.
NOTE TO CAREGIVERS:
Dr. Vesper has had (3) episodes this week with his left eye, (2) on Monday, both lasted (5) minutes, another episode Thursday evening at 4:30, which lasted almost (3) hours. He saw the ophthalmologist on Wednesday and was diagnosed a migraine without the headache. He could see, but it was very dark, like looking through dark sheer fabric. He has an appointment Monday at 11:30 for an ultrasound, his daughter will pick him up for this appointment. If he has any issues over the weekend, please call me or Stephanie. Call 911 if Stephanie is not reachable, he should be taken to Christ Hospital for evaluation and ultrasound.
