COMMENTS:
Rose relaxed after breakfast while I finished a few last minute chores. Rose had a nice shower and was dressed and ready in time for the party. Napping was light and sporadic throughout the afternoon. Dr. Vesper had been up, ate breakfast and was back in bed. Unfortunately, I was busy and forgot about church until he came out of his room dressed and ready to leave – right on time. Lily had a very nice graduation party, friends & family and good food. Not sure exactly what time they ate, it was either a late lunch or early dinner, but no one wanted anything additional after the party, they did have a pre-bedtime dish of ice cream.

Sandy, Maggie, Rachel & Colton – Planted flowers / major push to get front entrance and patio looking nice for Lily’s party tomorrow

COMMENTS:
I came in early this morning so Sandy and I could make a run to the Jarmans for the flowers we needed for the patio pots and the brick planter box at front entrance.   Sandy had to leave at 2:30 today, so we were in a rush to get as much done as possible. She brought her children, they were a huge help. Our goal was to get the most visible areas done first for Lily’s graduation party tomorrow.  Before leaving for Jarman’s, I took Rose to the bathroom, changed her depends and gave her a glass of Ensure to hold her until I returned .  Upon my return I made her breakfast and was going to give her a shower, but decided to wait until tomorrow morning. I spent a few hours outside getting the patio ready for tomorrow.  Dr. Vesper didn’t get up until 12:30.  Unfortunately, Kemper was stuck in the bedroom and had a huge accident.  Sandy had let him out when she arrived, but it was too late.  I cleaned it up before we left, but later in the afternoon I had to shampoo the bedroom carpet.  Dr. Vesper didn’t eat breakfast until almost 1p, so he didn’t want his usual snack.  I picked up the mail for him, which kept him busy the rest of the afternoon.  I gave him a haircut and Rose got her eyebrows and nails done.  Stephanie  was here most of the afternoon preparing for Lilly’s party.  After dinner I finished a few more chores, did p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

NOTE:
Kemper’s stool was very dark, concerned it could contain blood, if he has more accidents tonight will need to call vet.

COMMENTS:
Rose relaxed after breakfast while I cleaned up the kitchen. I moved shower day for Rose to tomorrow because of the party on Sunday. She had a nice long nap before dinner. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but was up in time to leave for church. I did convince him not to go to the gym because of his eye problem, he was back home @ 1:15, he had his usual protein bar & coffee. After going through the mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV until dinner. After dinner, they watched TV while I cleaned up the kitchen and prepared for bedtime routine. Steve delivered new strap for lift this afternoon, not working well, will need a few adjustments.

VISITORS/WORKERS:
Elena – Cleaned (extra hour to clean other side for Lily’s graduation party)
Stephanie – Picked up LJV for appt w/ Dr. Schott

COMMENTS:
Rose had a good day, very pleasant & relaxed, she ate well and had a good nap after lunch & 2p meds.  I notified Elena (text) yesterday that Stephanie would be picking Dr. Vesper up @ 10a for an appointment with Dr. Schott and asked her to remind him to be dressed and ready to leave at 10a.  When I arrived at 9:45a, she reported he had finished breakfast and was in his bedroom getting dressed.  Fortunately, I decided to check on him, YES, he was back in bed.  I rushed him out of bed and somehow had him ready when Stephanie arrived a few minutes later. Dr. Schott discovered some bleeding and wanted him to see a retinal specialist, in same office. Waiting to see second doctor, dilating time and picking up prescriptions took most of the afternoon. He picked the mail up on his way back home and after going through the mail and reading the WSJ, he and Rose watched TV while I prepared dinner.  Cleanup, pm meds, and bedtime routine all normal.

NOTE:
Dr. Vesper didn’t have a retinal detachment, but did have low pressure. He was prescribed (2) eye drops, prednisolone & Timolol.  Directions are (1) drop each in left eye only, twice daily – (1) hour between the (2) meds. Drops to be continued until his followup appointment with Dr. Faiz Khaja (Eastgate Office) Tuesday 6/8/17 @ 10:15a.

NOTE:
Hillary finally urinated and came home this afternoon. Unfortunately, she still had an elevated white blood count, which means one more round of Clavamox.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a comfortable day, she ate well and had a good nap.  Rose was very pleasant and relax today, laughed out loud a couple of times and seemed amused  for no obvious reason. Dr. Vesper was up earlier, ate breakfast and was back in bed (so I thought) when I arrived at 10. He came out of the bedroom a few minutes later dressed and ready for his appointment with Dr. Schott. I reminded him his appointment was tomorrow, he went back to bed and got up an hour later and left for church. He was home from the gym around 3p, had his usual stack of leftover coffee and a protein bar. After going through his mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV until dinner. Dinner, clean up and bedtime prep all routine.

NOTE :
I stopped on my way in this morning to check on Hillary. She didn’t urinate overnight, or today, had to spend another night.

COMMENTS:
Rose was relaxed & comfortable today, even during her shower. Rose ate very well and had a good afternoon nap. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but was back up by noon. I mistakenly thought he had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Schott today, which turned out to be his annual eye examine NEXT year 5/23/2018. Stephanie discovered the error while she was at Dr. schott’s office for her appointment this morning. Stephanie thought he should have a follow up appointment and was able to schedule him for this coming Thursday morning. Dr. Vesper spent the afternoon reading and watching TV.  I named about (10) options for dinner and he chose spaghetti, even though he just had spaghetti (2) nights ago. After dinner, they watched TV while I cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes.  PM meds and bedtime routine all normal.

NOTE:
Hillary had a followup appointment with Dr. Miller today, I dropped her off @ 10a, she will be spending the night.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a relaxing day, she ate well and took a nice nap, she was very alert in the afternoon. Dr. Vesper had been up, had his breakfast and was back in bed when I arrived. Stephanie called to check on him while I was carrying in groceries, he answered in the bedroom.  When he got off the phone with Stephanie he came out of the bedroom fully dressed, I asked him where he was going, he said he was going to church.  When I informed him it was Saturday not Friday, he got undressed and went back to bed.  I had to get him up around 2 o’clock to sign a few checks and some Fisher paperwork for Jeannie.  I picked up the mail to keep him from driving. The mail, WSJ, and TV kept him busy until Susan relieved me @ 5p.  I started dinner preparation, which gave Susan and I time to catch up on the events of the week, in particular, Dr. Vesper’s vision issue, med changes and upcoming appointments.
