COMMENTS:
Rose had a comfortable day, she ate well and napped throughout the afternoon. Dr. Vesper was up earlier, ate breakfast and was back in bed when I arrived. I got him up in time to get ready for church / gym. He was home around 3p, had his usual stack of leftover coffee and a protein bar. After going through his mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV. Stephanie arrived late afternoon from the airport with Kylie, Jake and Chase. Lily arrived a few minutes later with Sophie and Charlotte. Stephanie decided to take the kids out to dinner and Dr. Vesper decided he wanted Frisch’s. By the time everyone returned home, it was bedtime for Ms Rose, pm meds and bedtime prep all routine.

NOTE:

I picked up more flowers at Home Depot on my way in this morning. Sandy was already busy planting when I arrived, she brought her kids to help with the mulching today. Everyone worked very hard and the results are starting to show. When not working with Rose, I helped Sandy outside and Elena inside. Elaine had extra cleaning today, getting the bedrooms all ready for Jennifer, Kylie, Jake & Chase.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a good day, she was pleasant and relaxed, but a sleepyhead, took a long nap. Dr. Vesper had been up earlier, ate breakfast and went back to bed, but was up at noon. He did a lot of reading in the afternoon, very little TV. Elena brought us some of her home made (from scratch/ not a box mix) banana nut bread muffins, Dr. Vesper thoroughly enjoyed one with coffee in the afternoon. Dinner, cleanup, evening meds and bedtime routine all ran smoothly.

NOTE:
Kemper came home with (2) small deer hooves again today. I don’t know where he’s finding deer parts, they appear to be freshly killed, still bloody. More importantly, WHAT is killing the deer? We now have two coyotes appearing in the evening, going from Charlie Hoh’s property line to just below the pool. Does anyone know if a coyote can kill a deer?

He went to the gym today, first time since having his eye issue. He was home from the gym around 3:30p After going through his mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV until dinner. COMMENTS:
Rose was very alert today, but not responsive, she ate well, had a nice nap after her shower. Dr. Vesper was still in bed when I arrived this morning. I knew he hadn’t been up when I saw his breakfast still sitting on the table and Kemper still in their bedroom. I fed Kemper and let him outside. After giving Rose her medicine, I took a few minutes to make a few important phone calls before getting Rose up. Dr. Schott’s office called to say the retinal specialist would be in their office and could see Dr. Vesper at 2:30p. Although Stephanie was working today, she left the office and met Dr. vesper @ Dr. Schott’s office. I think she might have planned to go back to the office, but it was a very long appointment, Dr. Vesper didn’t get home until 4:30p. The doctor didn’t find anything more than last week. He is to continue the eye drops and followup appointment on 6/8. He checked the mail and read the WSJ while I prepared dinner. Clean up, p.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a pretty average day, ate very well and had a nice afternoon nap. Dr. Vesper was eating breakfast when I arrived. He immediately told me he was having a problem with his left eye. In previous episode, he was able to see, but not well.   This episode lasted approximately 45 minutes and he had no vision at all.  I immediately inform Stephanie and then call Dr. Schott’s office and left a message with his service. When Dr. Schott returned my call, he decided he should see Dr. Vesper in his office.  Stephanie had arrived with Sophie and her friends, so she was able to take him,  even though he thought he could drive himself with one eye.  There was more bleeding, Dr. Shott increased the Prednisolone to 4x daily. Dr. Schott may want Dr. Vesper to see the Retinal specialist tomorrow instead of waiting till 6/8, he will let us know tomorrow.  Stephanie closed the pool cover yesterday to warm the water for Sophie’s pool party today, unfortunately she couldn’t get the cover to open today, so the swim party was a bust. His vision started to improve in the afternoon, but not well enough to read, he watched TV until dinner.  Just before going to bed, I asked how his eye was doing, he said he could see out of his left eye better than pre-episode and even better than he could see out of his right eye. I will report this to Dr. Schott when he calls tomorrow. They had a great dinner tonight, Rose always eats fillet well, maybe because it’s so tender. Cleanup, p.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.
