I put away groceries before getting Rose up and giving her breakfast.  She relaxed when I cleaned up the kitchen. After lunch and 2p meds, Rose had a nice nap.  She had a late shower after her nap.  The showering process took a lot out of her today, she was pretty well spent after that, ate dinner with her eyes closed. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but was up in time to leave for church & the gym. He arrive home a little after 3p, snacked on a protein bar & coffee while going through the mail and reading the WSJ. After dinner, they watched TV while I cleaned up the kitchen and prepared for bedtime routine.

NOTE:
I trained a new caregiver, Vicki Thomas, from 5-8 today. She will be working 10–5 in the future with Susan Lomboy.Vicki did very well, but feels she needs more training time, she will talk to the office about coming back at another date.

Dr. Vesper was still sleeping when Elena and I arrived, but got up about 10 minutes later.  He was upset that  the alarm on his new watch didn’t wake him up, I reminded him the alarm was on his phone. I got Rose up and helped Elena change the sheets while Dr. Vesper ate breakfast. I gave Rose her morning meds and breakfast.  Rose got a pedicure in the afternoon while she napped. Elena stayed 2 extra hours  today to do extra cleaning. Sandy and Elena power washed all exterior areas at front entrance and back patio, Elena also washed windows on inside. When not taking care of Rose, I pitched in and helped with the outside as much as possible.  Lots of outside cleaning & sprucing up, ready for the “big” birthday . Dinner, cleanup, evening meds and bedtime routine all ran smoothly.

I woke him just in time to get ready for church and the gym. He had his usual snack of coffee and protein bar when he returned home. After going through his mail and reading the WSJ, he watched TV until dinner. Dinner, clean up and bedtime prep all routine.

NOTE:
Eads Fence was here today to resolve the gate issue. He had a long list of reasons why the gate wasn’t working properly. I recorded his explanation, which I will save to discuss with the family when everyone is home for Dr. Vesper’s birthday.
