I was up early and completed routine chores before getting Dr. Vesper up, to the bathroom and on to the breakfast table. While he was having his breakfast and reading, I got Rose up and ready for breakfast. I was just getting ready to start the laundry when Tom arrived to do the fall maintenance. Unfortunately, as soon as he left the electricity went off and it was almost 6p before I was able to start the laundry. During the power outage Teresa from AMHC arrived to do an OT assessment, OT will start Monday 10/30. We were ready to give up and opt for Frisch’s when the power finally came back on. After dinner, I did the dishes while they relaxed and watched TV. PM meds and bedtime routine all normal. Dr.Vesper stayed up a little later to watch the World Series. Stephanie talked him into going to bed when she arrived at 10:30 to spend the night.

Dr. Vesper had his breakfast when he returned from his appointment with Dr. Dinapoli.  Rose had an afternoon shower, followed by a nice nap. Stephanie picked Dr. Vesper up at 2:45 for his appointment with Dr. Wilson.  It was a cold and windy day here, which called for a hot soup dinner. COMMENTS:
Other than the bed alarm going off last night, everyone slept well and was still sleeping at 10 AM. I woke Dr. Vesper and assisted him to the table for breakfast and then got Rose up, she ate breakfast before her shower. We had a busy day, but a lot less traffic than yesterday, we were expecting the nurse and physical therapy to make an appearance today, but we didn’t hear from either. Dr. Vesper got a significant sponge bath, but didn’t want to shave. Rose had her shower late in the day because we were waiting on the nurse to arrive, we finally gave up on her. As always, Rose fell asleep after her shower. Dr. Vesper is improving daily, he got up a couple of times today and started to the bathroom unassisted. I yelled at him of course, but I was happy to see that he had improved to that level. Dinner, p.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.

NOTE:
Dr. Vesper was up at 3 AM and again at 7 AM to urinate, approximately 4 oz each time. However, the bed alarm went off several times, without him moving. I had to remove it from the bed and lay it on the floor, it’s still went off, I finally had to remove the batteries. Later this afternoon I replaced the batteries and it appeared to solve the problem.

NOTE:
Dr. Vesper produced a urine sample this morning (in refrigerator)  if the nurse doesn’t come Saturday morning, it will be out of date. If she calls let her know I used my last specimen bottle, she will need to bring more.
