I came last night and stayed over due to weather, was afraid it would be too bad this morning, I was right!  Dr. Vesper didn’t go to therapy today, because the roads were too bad.  Everyone was up and having breakfast by 10:30.  Rose had her shower in the afternoon, couldn’t talk Dr. Vesper into the same.  Andrew stopped by at noon to drop off a nice roast and stayed a few minutes to discuss his new job with Dr. Vesper.  Rose had her usual nice long nap after her shower, Dr. Vesper watched TV all afternoon. Sandy stopped by  to dig us out, she also picked up the mail and dropped off the garbage, what a gal! Dinner, pm meds& bedtime routine all routine.

COMMENTS:
Snow started arriving yesterday late afternoon early evening, I spent the night because I was concerned that other caregivers would have a  a difficult time getting here this morning.  Michele and Susan both opted to except my offer  to fill in for them today since I was already here, they were concerned about  about the driveway. Stephanie was able to find someone to plow the driveway and Sandy came over to shovel snow away from the front entrance and parking area. Sandy made a trip to Home Depot for more salt, since we are expecting more snow on Monday. Through all the fun Dr.Vesper and Ms Rose had a very average day, eat, sleep and watch TV.  After an easy dinner, I spent some time getting Christmas decorations stored away, didn’t do outside decorations, it was too cold.  P.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.

COMMENTS:
Dr. Vesper had aquatic physical therapy today, I arrived in time to have him prepared to leave by 10:15a While he ate breakfast and read the newspaper, I got Rose up, dressed and prepared her breakfast. Elena fed her breakfast and stayed with her while we were gone to therapy. We were home just in time for lunch at 1:30p. They both had a nice afternoon nap.  Before leaving for therapy this morning I put on a pot of vegetable soup for dinner tonight and invited Sandy and her children over for dinner tonight. I had everything ready when they arrived at 6.  We had a nice dinner,  I think Dr. Vesper enjoyed having the kids here, especially Colton. After dinner, the kids helped with cleanup and then Dr. Vesper gave them Christmas gifts.  It was a school night, so they were out of here early.  PM meds and bedtime routine all ran smoothly.

COMMENTS:
Dr. Vesper was difficult to get moving today,  we ended up doing a sponge bath instead of a shower, due to time restraints. I rushed him as much as possible, but we were still five minutes late arriving for therapy. While he had breakfast, I got Rose up, dressed and ready for breakfast. Mary Lou arrived at 12p to sit with Rose while I took Dr. Vesper to Milford for his aquatic therapy. They added a few new exercises, which ran us a little longer than usual, didn’t get home til 3:30p. Mary Lou left right away to get home to Annie.  They both had a nice nap before dinner. After dinner I used the van to take the garbage cans up to drop off location. I turned on the fireplace and they watch TV until bedtime. P.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.

Dr. Vesper slept until 11a, had breakfast, then spent the next hour reading.  In the afternoon, I assisted Dr. Vesper with his physical therapy and did ROM exercise with Rose. Dinner, P.m. meds and bedtime routine all normal.
