Rose was snoring so loudly this morning, I hated to wake her. I got her dressed and ready for breakfast, by the time I prepared her food she was snoring again. She was a real sleepyhead, slept most of the day. Dr. Vesper had a lazy day as well, he napped off and on in the afternoon . In between naps he went through his mail and read the newspaper and watched a little TV. More TV after dinner, then pm meds and then normal bedtime routine.

Rose up about 10:30, Dr. Vesper got up shortly after that. After lunch and 2 PM meds Rose had a good nap. While she napped, I assisted Dr. Vesper with his physical therapy & trimmed his nails.  The girls came to swim in the afternoon, they reported the water is warming up nicely, still a little cold, but bearable.  After dinner they watched TV while I did dishes and cleaned up kitchen. I set tomorrow’s breakfast table for Dr. Vesper, gave PM meds and prepared for bedtime routine.

Mary Lou – Sat with Rose while I took Dr. Vesper to ophthalmologist

COMMENTS:
I had to get Dr. Vesper up earlier than normal this morning so he would have time for a shower after breakfast, it’s difficult to rush him so I wanted to allow extra time. While he was having breakfast I got Rose up and dressed for breakfast. Mary Lou arrived to sit with Rose while we were gone. We left @ 1:30, didn’t get home til 4:20, we did make one quick stop at Kroger’s for berries and melon. Mary Lou said Rose slept most of the time we were gone.  After getting Rose to the bathroom at 4:30, I fed Kemper and then started dinner. After dinner they watched TV until bedtime, usual routine ran smoothly.

NOTE:
Dr. Schott thought Dr. Vespers left eye issue was vascular, blood vessel spasms similar to the cause of migraines.  The blindness shouldn’t last more than an hour, if it does we should let Dr. Schott know.  The rest of his exam went very well, no sign of  glaucoma or macular degeneration, his vision was 20/25

They were both sleeping very soundly when I arrived, especially Rose, mouth open and snoring. I gave them another 1/2 hour before getting them up for breakfast.  Rose had her shower between breakfast and lunch, which always makes her very sleepy, but she managed to stay awake until after lunch. They spent the afternoon watching TV and napping. After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes, set out breakfast items for tomorrow, gave pm meds and prepared for bedtime routine.

COMMENTS:
Rose was awake when I arrived this morning. Dr. Vesper woke up when I got Rose up, but decided he wasn’t ready to get up and went back to sleep. He slept until almost noon before getting up and having his breakfast. I went in to make the bed after Dr. Vesper got up, the corner of the top sheet had gotten underneath Rose somehow and had a small wet spot. Not wanting to run the washer for such a small item, I rinsed the corner in the laundry sink. I was just getting the sheet back on the bed when Susan arrived and gave me a hand while we chatted. I didn’t do much in the oral hygiene department this morning because Rose’s lip looked terrible and I’m sure it was very sore. It wasn’t quite as bad as it looked, after a warm cpmpress, I realize most of it was dried blood, still I’m sure it was painful. Don’t know what happened, it wasn’t there when I put her in bed Friday night, but was there when Michele got her up Saturday morning, guessing she bit her lip. Rose napped after lunch and 2p meds, Mr. Vesper read the newspaper and watched TV.

NOTE:
I filled in for Stephanie Maxwell today, Susan relieved me @ 3p.
