COMMENTS:
I got Rose up, dressed and ready for breakfast. Dr. Vesper was  up @ 11:00. A late lunch, exercise and naps in the afternoon.  We had a bad storm, with high winds. The  Power went off at 4p and didn’t come back on until bedtime.  I tried to go to Frisch’s for sandwiches, but was told I should go home because there were too many trees down and probably couldn’t make it to Frisch’s, so they had a cold dinner. I set out breakfast items and am meds for tomorrow. PM meds were given @ bedtime.

NOTE:
We had a large tree down across the driveway behind the middle school. Some of the patio and pool furniture was blown down over the hill side, including the heavy wrought iron tables and chairs. New Richmnd had their EMTs out helping with tree removal,  they pushed the tree off the road with a front loader, couldn’t get chainsaw started.  Sandy will have a friend  help her cut up the tree.

Colton – Play with Kemper

COMMENTS:
I arrived early to get Kemper to his 9:30 vet and grooming appointment. After dropping Kemper off, I did a few chores before getting Rose up and dressed for the day. While she was having breakfast, Dr. Vesper got up and joined her at the table for his morning meds and breakfast. After lunch I got a call to pick camper up, Colton went with me to manhandle Kemper, he gets so excited when he gets to come home. Kemper hadn’t been groomed in awhile, he looked like a new, very handsome man! Sandy “pretended” to come inside for a break while I was gone. They spent the afternoon watching TV and napping. After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes, set out breakfast items for tomorrow, gave pm meds and prepared for bedtime routine.

NOTE:
We had a bit of excitement this afternoon, (2) large snakes paid us a visit!!  Kemper spotted the first one trying to climb up my car, thank goodness my windows were up.  Of coarse, Kemper wanted to attack, but thankfully, Colton was able to pull him off by his collar. While Colton was trying to get Kemper into the house, they encountered the second snake near front door.  Sandy and I wanted to kill them, but doc said no.  He wanted them taken to the woods, I opted out of that mission, fine print in my contract says NO snake duty.  Using a long pole, Sandy kept flipping them until she got them to the woods just passed the wood piles.  I’m not much of an “animal” person, I have taken on a dog, a cat and the birds, but I draw the line at snakes🐍 CAREGIVERS:  last year Susan and I both encountered a snake inside the house, one on the kitchen floor and one near the hallway door going out to the pool.  If you ever have a similar situation, use the long handle dustpan & broom (in Hillary’s bathroom) to sweep up, take outside and toss over the hill.  Hope my next job is in the city😏

COMMENTS:
I arrived early in order to get cleaning and showers completed before guest started arring @ 1p. Rose had breakfast and morning meds before hitting the showers. Dr. Vesper had his breakfast while Rose was showering, then it was his turn. Everyone was ready when Alan & Veva arrived right on schedule @ 1p. Since Alan & Veva only came for lunch, I started the grill. Sophie and a couple of her friends were here, but most came later. Andrew started grilling around 6:30p, by that time, Dr. Vesper was ready for his second round and dessert.   The crowd was somewhat smaller and better behaved, less running in and out, I think the heat and humidity kept them in the pool. Rose and Dr. Vesper were both tuckered out  by the time they were tucked in at 11.
