COMMENTS:
I got Rose up, dressed and ready for breakfast. Dr. Vesper slept a little later, but was up before Rose finished eating breakfast. He spent the afternoon reading, watching TV and napping. Rose was awake and alert most of the afternoon, but did take a short nap before dinner. Amelia Florist delivered a beautiful bouquet of flowers this afternoon  from Jennifer and family with happy anniversary wishes. Stephanie stopped by for a short visit just as they were finishing dinner. More TV after dinner, then pm meds and normal bedtime routine.

NOTE:
I made several stops on the way in this morning to collect items needed for their  requested cottage ham with green beans and potatoes for their anniversary dinner tomorrow. I spent some time in the afternoon shucking corn and stringing green beans, which will save some time tomorrow.

COMMENTS:
I got Dr. Vesper up shortly after arriving at 9a. I wanted him to have time to eat breakfast and do his reading without being rushed. He had an appointment with Dr. Forman (cardiologist) today. After getting him settled at the table, I got Rose up and she joined him, they had their morning meds with breakfast. As soon as he was finished with breakfast and reading, I trimmed his nails, shaved him and assisted with his shower and dressing. We left the house at 12:30 for his appointment. Elena took care of Rose while we were gone. I made a sinful run through McDonald’s for a junk food lunch since it was so late.  We arrived back home at 2:30, just in time for Elena to leave. They ate and then napped and watched TV the rest of the afternoon. After dinner, I did the dishes, cleaned up the kitchen and set out breakfast items and am meds for tomorrow. PM meds and bedtime routine all normal.

NOTE:
Dr. Vespers appointment with Dr. Forman was his regular 3 month check up,  he had an EKG, which was normal, no medication changes, Coumadin will stay as is until further notice, next appointment in 6 months.

Matt Ferring / Bishop Electric – Checked for electrical issues at pool

COMMENTS:

They were sleeping when I arrived, I did a few chores before getting them up for breakfast. Rose had a shower after breakfast, which went fairly smoothly. After lunch and pm meds, they spent the afternoon watching TV and napping. After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes, set out breakfast items & morning meds for tomorrow, gave pm meds and prepared for bedtime routine.

NOTE:

The electrician came to check for electrical issues at the pool. He couldn’t find any electrical problems, but noticed the plastic conduit was in really bad shape due to age and sun exposure. In many places the conduit was cracked open, which would allow rain to get inside and trip the breaker. He caulked the larger holes, but said to solve the problem permanently all of the conduit would need to be replaced sometime soon. He can give an estimate if interested, but said it would be over $1000 ballpark.

Frank Perkins Pro Trees – Cut down & trimmed trees

COMMENTS:
I arrived at 8a this morning to meet the tree service crew, which gave me an early start to my day. I prepped for Rose’s  breakfast before getting her up @ 9:30. I’m sure it was difficult to sleep with all the chainsaw noise, so I got Dr. Vesper Up early so he could watch all the activity. They ate breakfast and had their am meds. After breakfast, I gave Rose a shower, followed by a nap. Dr. Vesper spent the afternoon watching the tree trimmers and occasionally offering advice. After dinner, they watched TV while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, set out breakfast items and morning meds for tomorrow, p.m. meds and normal bedtime routine.

NOTE:
Rose has been very lethargic all week, meal times have been slow going, but mostly successful, just required much more time to get the job done.

NOTE 2:
Frank Perkins Pro Tree Service arrived right on time, was well-equipped and very professional. They did an excellent job, including cleanup. They will return next week to remove several stumps and also, give me a quote for additional work.
