COMMENTS:
I got Rose up and dressed at 10:30, she had her am meds and breakfast. Dr. Vesper got up  at 11:30, had his am meds with breakfast. Polly arrived after lunch to give Rose a haircut and color. Polly is a force to be dealt with and Rose always responds well to her. Usually, I get behind with household chores when Polly comes because I’m helping her all afternoon, but having Elena here today worked out quite well, we got a new “do” and the house also got cleaned👏 Rose was pooped after all the fuss, she had a good nap before dinner. I made a small lasagna this morning for dinner, which made preparation a snap, Dr. Vesper wasn’t hungry, so we let Rose finish her nap. A little TV after dinner, PM meds and bedtime routine all normal.

COMMENTS:  Dr. Vesper was sleeping when I arrived, but Rose was awake and ready to get up. She ate well and had her a.m. meds with breakfast. Dr. Vesper didn’t get up until 1130, he had his morning meds with breakfast, He did his devotional reading and read the newspaper. He relaxed in his recliner and watched TV while Rose got a shower. Normally I give her a shower on Tuesday, yesterday I totally forgot that it was shower day, I was off Monday and Tuesday felt like Monday all day. It all worked out for the better, since Polly is coming tomorrow for a haircut and color. Lunch and 2 PM meds followed by naps, reading and TV. Rose was alert and awake most of the day, except for her normal nap in the afternoon. Jeannie came around 5p, I spent a little time with her resolving some bill payment issues. Dinner always runs a little late when Jeannie is here because of the amount of time I spend working with her. Rose and Dr. Vesper watch TV while I did the dishes, cleaned up the kitchen, set out breakfast items and morning meds for tomorrow. They have their p.m. meds and I got Rose ready for bed. Dr. Vesper was watching a very interesting program on memory and wanted to see all of the program before going to bed. I clocked out and watch the rest the program with him, it was pretty amazing, wished we had recorded it. He brushed his teeth and went to the bathroom and was in bed before I left.

After lunch and pm meds, they spent the afternoon watching TV, reading and napping. After dinner I cleaned up the kitchen and washed the dishes. Stephanie texted me about a special on PBS about the Mayo Clinic, he watched the entire 2 hours with great interest. I gave them their p.m. meds and got Rose ready for bed. I set out breakfast items & morning meds for tomorrow while he watched the program.  After it was over, he completed his bedtime routine and I tucked his in and said good night.

NOTE: The Village started black topping Bethel New Richmond Road today. They started at Rt 52, not sure how far north they plan to go. Fortunately for us, Duke has been pulled off of the job of installing utility poles and sent to the Carolinas, not sure when they will return, but hopefully not until the black topping job is finished. To bad this work didn’t get done in the summer when we didn’t have school traffic.

Cincinnati Bell – Cable not working

COMMENTS: I did a few chores, took care of Kemper & Hillary and prepped for breakfast before getting Rose up @ 10:30. Dr. Vesper got up while I was getting Rose up. They ate breakfast and had their am meds. After breakfast, Dr. Vesper spent the afternoon reading. The TV wasn’t working, the picture was freezing and no sound. I had called yesterday with the same problem and they walked me through a major reboot and it seemed OK, but the problem was back today. I called again and we tried a few things, but didn’t work. They scheduled a tech to come out, fortunately they had an opening this afternoon. I was just getting ready to give Rose a shower when the technician arrived. After he left, I had just enough time to give Rose a shower before dinner. After dinner, they watched TV while I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen, set out breakfast items and morning meds for tomorrow. They had their p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

NOTE: Rose had a bad week, slept most days, she didn’t have a fever or appear to be in pain. My old Rose was back today, she was awake all day except for a short nap while I was working with the Cincinnati Bell technician. She ate very well, she responded to questions and gave me a smirky smile when I teased her.

Lunch, 2p meds & naps in the afternoon. I gave Dr. Vesper a shave, haircut, shower and helped him get dressed. Stephanie arrived a little after 5 to take him to the funeral home for the visitation of his friend, Ron Mielech. Rose had dinner while Dr. Vesper was gone, since I knew he would be late. He got home around  8:30p, I made him a light dinner, he ate and then got ready for bed. He was very somber and moved by the death of his friend. They had their p.m. meds and I tucked them into bed. I set out breakfast items and am meds for tomorrow. Rose had another bad day, slept all day and only ate about 50% of her food.

It was difficult feeding her because she was only half awake, but she eventually ate all of her food. Dr. Vesper got up around noon.  He had his meds with breakfast and did his morning reading. Dr. Vesper didn’t remember yesterday’s news of his friend passing away, but today he seemed to absorb the news, he was very quiet all afternoon and asked questions about the funeral. The afternoon agenda was lunch, p.m. meds, TV and naps. Dr. Vesper ate well, but it was go slow going with Rose, she eventually completed her dinner. They had their p.m. meds and prepared for bed.
