American Home Health (Alex Birch)  –  Physical therapy evaluation

COMMENTS:  Dr. Vesper got up around 11:15, he took his a.m. meds with breakfast.  After breakfast, he read and watched TV until mid afternoon.  He wasn’t in the mood for a full shower, but we did a complete sponge bath and dressed before Alex arrived around 4:30. Alex was his therapist when he first came home from the hospital in August 2017.   After a short catch up and pleasantries, Alex did a thorough evaluation, gave him three specific exercises to do twice daily,  set up a schedule  to see him twice a week, usually Tuesday/Thursday, this week will be Tuesday/Friday. Dr. Vesper will be expected to do designated exercises, with my assistance the remaining five days. His eval showed good strength, but lacking in endurance.  Alex and I will be working to improve his endurance over the next nine weeks. It was almost 6 PM when Alex left. I made a salad and warmed up leftovers for dinner. After dinner He relaxed and watched TV. I prepared morning meds for tomorrow and set the table for breakfast. He took his p.m. meds and followed his regular bedtime routine.

Sandy came over to clear the driveway,  she also put down a layer of salt to cover any additional snow this evening/night. Stephanie came by to use the truck to pick up hay for her horse, but decided that wasn’t a workable idea. In the afternoon, he did PT, read the WSW and had lunch. After dinner, TV until bedtime. I did a few chores while he relaxed.  He did his PT and then I helped him shave and get a shower in the afternoon, and later I gave him a mani/pedi.  He went to the podiatrist earlier this week, but he only clips the nails, no cleaning or filing.  After dinner, he watch TV until bedtime. I set the table for breakfast and prepared morning meds. COMMENTS:
Dr. Vesper was up at 9:30, ate breakfast & took morning meds. After breakfast, I helped him get ready for his doctor appointments.  First was a 2 hour dental appointment for a crown, followed by an appointment with the Podiotrist.  We missed lunch, but he had a glucerna when we got home. He opened his mail, read the WSJ and snoozed a bit while I did laundry and started dinner.  After dinner he watched a little TV before deciding to turn in early.  It was an exhausting day for him, and it was our first really cold day in a while, not a good day to be out.  I set the table for breakfast and prepared morning meds. He took his p.m. meds and I helped him get ready for bed.
