COMMENTS: I got Dr. Vesper up at 10:30, he had morning meds with breakfast and did his reading. After he finished reading, I assisted him with OT. He watched TV and ate lunch before Alex arrived. He worked very hard for Alex today, walked without the walker for the first time. After dinner he watched TV until bedtime. I did the dishes and set the table for morning breakfast and a.m. meds. Dr. Vesper took his p.m. meds before going to bed.
NOTE:
This past Sunday we had a power outage, which lasted almost two hours. Unfortunately, the generator did not kick in. I called for service, and they came out today. They knew what the problem was because several other people had the same issue. On January 30th our temperature dropped to a -4°, condensation in the pipe going to the propane froze and shut down the generator. Had I called for service, they would have came out right away to correct the problem, but I wasn’t aware that it wasn’t working until we needed it This past weekend, when a wind storm took out the power to most of new Richmond. There was nothing to be repaired, since the ice had since melted, but the system needed to be reset and tested, which required turning the electric off to kick in the generator.
With the generator situation resolved, we got back to the events of the day. All was well until Dr. Vesper tried to turn on the TV. After many reboot attempts, I called service. The service tech walked me through several fixes before the problem was solved. We think the wifi signals were messed up when the power was turned off and on by the generator tech.
