COMMENTS:
Dr. Vesper slept in this morning morning, didn’t get up til almost 11a. he had his morning meds with breakfast and read the newspaper.  We didn’t do exercise today because he wasn’t feeling well, I think he is coming down with a good case of allergies. His only symptom was a congested cough, but I called Dr. Wilson right away and he called in a script for a Z-Pack. Allergies are really bad this year, Kemper and I have both had a round and I’m hoping Dr. Vesper’s will be a milder version. In the afternoon, he had a sponge bath, relaxed and watched TV. After dinner, he watched TV while I cleaned up the kitchen and did dishes.  I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  He took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

COMMENTS: Dr. Vesper got up at 11a, he had his morning meds with breakfast and read the newspaper.  Tom Niehaus called while Dr. Vesper was eating breakfast wanted to stop by for a visit, they stayed about an hour. Tom brought some books for Dr. Vesper to browse through, he will pick them up later.  Even though Tom put forth a huge effort, it was very difficult for him to engage Dr. Vesper in conversation, he gave a lot of yes/no answers, or looked to me for answers.  In the afternoon, we did exercise and watched TV.  Sandy and Colton came over in the afternoon to finish up the mowing she didn’t get finished yesterday. Colton gave Kemper a good brushing and a great workout, according to Tagg, his most active day of the month. After dinner Dr.Vesper watched TV, while I cleaned up the kitchen and did dishes.  I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  He took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

COMMENTS:
I took care of Hillary & Kemper and did chores until Dr. Vesper woke up at 10:45. He had breakfast and took his morning meds.  I assisted him with his sponge bath and dressing. In the afternoon he had lunch, watched TV and did exercise. After dinner, he watched TV until bedtime.  I gave him his p.m. meds and he got ready for bed.  I set the table with morning meds and breakfast for tomorrow.

NOTE:
Kemper has been lethargic, with no other apparent symptoms, off and on over the past two weeks. Every time I thought it was time to take him to the vet he would make a miraculous recovery. Bottom line, I took him in today and thankfully it wasn’t anything too serious, just a bad case of springtime allergies. He got a steroid shot  and a seven day supply of antibiotics. He did managed to gain 10 pounds over the winter months and his cholesterol was high. Dr. Miller may want to change his diet, but wants to wait until we gets past this really awful allergy season.
