Stephanie – Visit

COMMENTS: Dr. Vesper got up at 11a, he had his morning meds with breakfast, read the newspaper and did exercise. After lunch I gave Dr. Vesper a sponge bath and helped him get dressed. He watched TV until almost 3 PM, before losing interest and turning it off. When the conversation turned to Rose, I realized he had been thinking about her all day. I had purposely not mentioned Mother’s Day, But it had came up several times on TV. I talked him into taking a ride, we went to visit Sandy and her new house and then to visit Stephanie, we delivered flowers and Mother’s Day cards to them. Unfortunately, by the time we got to Stephanie‘s house, she wasn’t home. When we called her, we found out she was waiting for us in New Richmond, she waited while we drove back to the house. They had a nice little visit and I think it took his mind off of Mother’s Day. I started dinner after Stephanie left. Jessica also called to say hello. After dinner Dr.Vesper watched TV, while I cleaned up the kitchen and did dishes.  I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  He took his p.m. meds and got ready for bed.

NOTE:
It rained off and on all day, we didn’t get any flowers planted today.

I took care of Hillary & Kemper and did chores until Dr. Vesper woke up at 10:45. He had breakfast and took his morning meds.  I assisted him with his sponge bath and dressing. In the afternoon he had lunch, watched TV and did exercise. After dinner, he watched TV until bedtime.  I gave him his p.m. meds and he got ready for bed.  I set the table with morning meds and breakfast for tomorrow.

NOTE:
Sandy and I met at the house at 7:30 this morning for our annual trip to Jarman’s Nursery.  We left early because it usually takes at least 1 hour to make our selections, add 1/2 hour driving time each way, which put us back at the house a little before 10a. Colton & Rachel came over to sit with Kemper and Dr. Vesper just in case Dr. Vesper decided to get up before we got back, he was still sleeping soundly when we arrived back at the house 2 hours later. Sandy, Rachel & Colton unloaded the plants/flowers and brought the outdoor furniture from the basement to the patio/pool. After I got Dr. Vesper taken care of and a few chores completed, I joined Sandy. We didn’t get anything planted in the ground today, because we got rained out. We did complete 13 large pots, 4 in front, 7 on the patio and 2 at the pool. We will try to finish tomorrow if it doesn’t rain.
