Dinner was earlier than usual today because Dr. Vesper had a planning commission meeting tonight. It had been canceled, but we didn’t know until later. When he left to go to the meeting, he found the gate was not working. Fortunately, a New Richmond police officer was on the other side of the gate trying to get in to let him know the meeting has been canceled.

VISITORS/WORKERS:

Becky Schnell – Brought Bufford Flooring to look at hardwood

COMMENTS:
I shopped for annuals on my way in this morning, but wasn’t able to find everything we needed, so the three of us took a ride to Jarmans in the afternoon, came home loaded. Rose had a pretty average day, she seemed to enjoy the ride to Felicity.

Becky came out today with her flooring contractor to look at the hardwood. The good news is it can be refinished, the bad news is we can’t walk on it for at least a week and a half. We could move to the old master, but since we wouldn’t have the use of a left in the bedroom or bathroom, that would be impossible.

Dr. Vesper wasn’t feeling well today, coughing and runny nose, probably allergies, or could be from working out in the rain all day yesterday.

Dr. Vesper skipped church today, said he wanted to stay home and supervise Jacob and Sandy in spreading the mulch. It rained all day, up until around 3:30 PM, anywhere from a drizzle to a downpour. Yes, they work in the rain, everyone was a wet & muddy mess:(

Rose was very quiet and a little tense today. Jeannie surprised us by bringing Stephanie & the new baby with her today. She wanted to clean out the files today. We tried to get Rose to hold the baby, she had a strange reaction, wanted no part of it, and even tried to push the baby away. The feeling was mutual, the baby started to cry when we tried to put her in Rose’s lap, she was very friendly and happy with me and also with Dr. Vesper.

Kylie was gone most of the afternoon, she went shopping with Lily & Sophie. They made it home just in time to leave for dinner at the Boathouse to celebrate her graduation.
