COMMENTS:
Rose had a late shower and then a short nap before getting ready to leave for Lilly’s birthday dinner. We had a delicious dinner and a wonderful evening with family. As we were leaving Stephanie’s, Rose asked of no one in particular “how old is she?” we assumed she was relating to the birthday festivities. It was a little after 10 by the time we got home, everyone had their p.m. meds and Rose was tucked in bed.

COMMENTS:
I came in early this morning because Dr. Vesper had a 9 AM appointment with Dr. Wilson for his annual physical. I got Rose up as soon as I got Dr. Vesper out the door. Stephanie met her dad at Dr. Wilson’s office, she reported A very thorough exam. Dr. Wilson deleted the Finestride, no other medication changes. His blood sugar has been running 200+, Dr. wIlson is making an appointment for LJV and MG to meet with a diabetic dietitian. We are also monitoring daily instead of weekly, readings to be taken every other morning before breakfast and opposite days after dinner. I have made up a chart to record daily readings. Dr. Wilson’s orders are no scones for breakfast and no (nightly) ice cream for dessert. Dr. Vesper is accomplishing this goal on a gradual scale. He is having a large bowl of bran cereal and one scone instead of two. I purchased low glycemic ice cream from Graeters and a no sugar added pie from Kroger’s, both items have some sugar, but it’s a start. Follow up appointment scheduled in two months. Everyone was tired in the afternoon and they both took a long nap in bed.

COMMENTS:
Rose was pretty much a carbon copy of yesterday, relaxed and pleasant. Dr. Vesper did his normal Monday church and gym and a nap before dinner.

NOTE:
We had issues with the gate over the weekend, I called for service this morning, but they cannot come out until next Monday. In the meantime they will order a new circuit board, which hopefully will solve the problem. They also feel the loop needs to be replaced, if the new circuit board doesnt do the job the loop will have to be replaced. In the meantime, when I leave at night I will leave the gate open so the newspaper lady can get inSide and close it when I arrive in the morning. I have disabled the automatic sensor, which means the gate can be opened and closed by hand. it won’t keep anybody out, but it will keep Kemper from escaping during the day.

He woke up at 10:30 and while he had his breakfast I got Rose up and prepare for her bath. Rose had her breakfast before her bath so Dr. Vesper could have the bathroom to get ready for church. Rose was more relaxed than usual during bathing and dressing today. They both had a relaxing afternoon, but no nap.
