While changing the bed, she found them inside the pillowcase, not just at the open end, but all the way down to the other end. I am amazed that we did not put them in the washer without seeing them. we are talking about a king size pillow (32”). Just in case you’re wondering, yes, the retainers were also in the pillowcase. Definitely gremlins.

Dr. Vesper was reluctant to participate, but agreed to give it a try. After Michelle left, we did a quick round of exercise. He relaxed and watched TV while I did laundry and started dinner. I got Dr. Vesper up, he was still dizzy after sitting on the side of the bed for a few minutes, made his way to the bathroom with my help, but was still dizzy and said he didn’t feel good and wanted to go back to bed for a little bit. I was just getting ready to wake him up when Andrew stopped by for short visit. He had breakfast and took his AM meds. After breakfast, he had a sponge bath and changed into dry clothes. In the afternoon, he had lunch, watched TV, exercised and took a nap. After dinner he watched TV while I did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen. I prepared morning meds and breakfast setup for tomorrow. Dr. Vesper took his pm meds and prepared for bed.

NOTE: I went through all of the garbage again tonight before dropping it off for weekly pick up. I used gloves and touched every piece of garbage, absolutely sure hearing aids did not get thrown out. I continued to look throughout the house today, but still did not locate. AND The plot thickens, this morning I handed him his red retainer container and asked him to put his retainers in the container. His retainers were not in his mouth, not in the container, not on his nightstand, not under his pillow, not in his bed, nowhere to be found??? Gremlins, the only answer!

COMMENTS: After taking care of Kemper and Hillary, I got Dr. Vesper up, he had his morning meds with breakfast. After breakfast I gave him a shave, shower and helped him get dressed. We left the house at 1P for the memorial service. It was almost 5 PM when we returned home. We did make a quick stop at Kroger‘s for some fresh cod for dinner. I recorded the Bengals game, which was on while we were out, he watched it after dinner.  I cleaned up the kitchen and did dishes. I prepared breakfast and a.m. meds for tomorrow.  He took his p.m. meds and prepared for bed.

NOTE: Dr. Vesper and I attended a memorial service for Rose today. It was sponsored by Hospice of Cincinnati and held at Anderson Center on 5 mile. It was a very nice service. During the reception after the service, three people introduced themselves as past patients of his and one person, Bob (can’t remember last name) introduced himself as a coworker of Rose’s in the governor’s office. Others came by to offer their condolences and said they didn’t know Rose personally, but spoke highly of her reputation. It was a beautiful blue sky/sunny day and I think he enjoyed being out.

NOTE 2: We were almost late leaving for the service because I spent a half hour in search of missing hearing aids. We finally had to leave without them. I usually put them in his ears while he is sitting on the bed, before getting up. I didn’t this morning because I knew he was going straight into the shower after breakfast. After showering and dressing, I went to get them, but they were not on the charger. I looked everywhere before we left, and again when we returned home, they have mysteriously disappeared. He quite often takes one out and puts it on his side table or in his pocket, but not this time. They were missing before we left the house, so I know they have to be here somewhere, nothing left but the garbage, which I will go through before taking it out.
