COMMENTS:
Dinner was scheduled for 6p, which gave me plenty of time to get Rose showered and dressed, with time left over to finish wrapping gifts and putting the final touches on the house. It was a long day for Rose, but she did very well, she was very quiet, but did become more talkative at the end of dinner, I think she was in her observation mode for the most part. We had a delicious dinner and Santa was very generous to everyone, a blessed day with family and friends.

COMMENTS:
We started our day in the dark, still no electricity. Fortunately, a crew of a dozen or so from Duke arrived at 10 AM and had us up and running around 3 PM. Rose had the only healthy thing on McDonald’s Menu (oatmeal) for breakfast. We had to hustle to make up for time due to power outage, cleaning, gift wrapping and Christmas preparation. After everyone left for the vesper Christmas party in Clifton, I prepare dinner for Rose. Rose sat by the Christmas tree and listening to Christmas music while I vacuumed, damp moped the hardwood floors and cleaned the bathroom. The party ended earlier than usual and everyone was home by 10.

COMMENTS:
We had a pretty average day until dinner, when the electricity went out during the storm. We finished dinner by candlelight, which was fun. Going to the bathroom (and cleanup) by flashlight, not so much fun:( Jessica had left to pick Danny up at the airport before the storm hit, they stopped to eat and the storm was over by the time they got home. The gate keypad was not working, but we were able to get them inside with the remote opener. The electricity is still off when I left.

COMMENTS:
Rose wasn’t at her best during her shower, but everything went up from there.  I came in early today because Dr. Vesper attended grandparent day with Charlotte at IHM,  and I had to get Rose ready for a early appointment with Dr Corl.  Rose was in her happy mood when she saw Dr. Corl  (cute guys always do that to her) he tried to listen to her heart with his stethoscope but was difficult to do because she wouldn’t stop dancing????  He said I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this woman!  Her numbers were all good, BP 124/68, pulse 64 ,  next appointment in six months.   After Rose saw Dr. Corl, we ran across the street to Dr. Wilson’s office and Pat came down to the car and gave Rose her flu shot. Dr. Vesper  went to church after charlottes program, but not the gym, said he was too tired from getting up early.   He spent some time studying French before taking a late nap. Sandy relieved me @ 5p
