COMMENTS:
Rose was quiet and relaxed today, she had a good nap after her 2pm meds.  I had to get her up at 4p instead of 430 to go to the bathroom, because I had a 4:30 vet appt for Kemper. Dr. Vesper went to church and the gym, spent the rest of the afternoon reading and watching TV.  I was still at the Vets when Roberta arrived at 5p.  I fnished up a few things and went over med changes for Rose, Dr. Vesper and Kemper before leaving.

NOTE:
Kemper had a large hematoma inside his ear, Dr. Miller said it was probably caused by his scratching. Kemper recently had another bout with allergies. I started applying cream to his ears as soon as he started scratching, but didn’t notice the hematoma until this morning. He received both a antibiotic & cortisone shot, plus (2) take home scripts. Surgery to take care of the hematoma is scheduled for next Thursday – he would like Iams treats and chew toys in lieu of flowers????

Dr. Vesper had an appointment with Dr. Wilson at 1 PM today, I went over it several times with him both last night and this morning, I told him he should go directly to Dr. Wilson’s office after church and reminded him that he couldn’t be late because Dr. Wilson had another patient scheduled at 1:30 and couldn’t see him if he was late. As he was walking out the door I asked him one last time, where are you supposed to be at 1 PM and he answered Dr. Wilson’s office, don’t worry I’ll be there. Pat from Dr. Wilson’s office called me at 1:05 to see where he was and when I checked find my friends he was at the gym. When he came home he said he remembered after the gym and went to Dr. Wilson’s office but they wouldn’t see him. I rescheduled his appointment for next Friday and Stephanie called to apologize on his behalf.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a nice day, she was quiet and had a nice nap in the afternoon. While she napped, I took down the Christmas wreath off the gate and the glass entrance doors, removed the lights and most of the decorations that I wanted to keep for next year. I also tried to take down the Christmas tree, but Dr. Vesper insisted on leaving it fully decorated and storing it in the bedroom. When I tried to take it down last week he mentioned doing that, but I thought he was joking and decided to try again later, didn’t work – it’s still up.

NOTE:
I have Jimmy Smith (Stephane’s friend) scheduled to come at noon tomorrow (while Dr. Vesper is at church) to take the truck to the farm and attach the snowplow.

COMMENTS:
Rose did very well today, did a good job on exercise, without the (1/2) Xanax at 2 PM she has seemed more alert and less sleepy. Dr. Vesper went to church and the gym, he read and watch TV until dinner, he did doze off once, but only for a few minutes. His cold is better, but still has a nagging cough, so far Rose has successfully avoided his germs.

COMMENTS:
Hose was quiet most of the day, she started leaning to the right at the end of the day. I spent some time on the phone and searching websites trying to locate a salt spreaders his morning, I located one at Home Depot and one at Clermont county equipment. Dr. Vesper was going to check out the one at Home Depot after church and the gym. He got home early and when I asked him about the salt spreader, he said they didn’t have any, I think he forgot. He asked for directions to Clermont County equipment in Amelia, I drew him a map and told him how to get there, plus I put it in his phone. He never made it to Amelia, got lost and came back home. Usually, when this happened he calls me, today he didn’t, I think he was very frustrated with himself. I stopped at Arnold’s marathon this morning to see if Ryan did snow removal, he doesn’t. I called Chuck Vogel and he said he would call me after work tomorrow tomorrow to see if we needed help clearing the driveway.

COMMENTS:
Rose started her day with a large BM, I think that set the tone for the rest of the day, she is comfortable and relaxed. We had our first snow today and the roads were terrible on Beechmont and Hopper Hill, but New Richmond had done a great job on Rt 52 and Bethel New Richmond. Dr. Vesper was going to the gym, but decided it was too cold, he and Rose spent a lazy afternoon watching TV and occasionally dosing.
