COMMENTS:
Rose didn’t talk much, but did her sound effects, which seemed to entertain her quite well. Rose missed her 4:30 bathroom break because I was still at the Vets with Kemper, but I took her as soon as we got home. It was a busy day for Dr. Vesper, he had church, gym, exchanged a Christmas gift that was too small and had a follow up doctors appointment with Dr. Wilson. He got home just in time to sit with Rose (in recliner taking a nap) while I took Kemper for his post-op visit with Dr. Miller.
NOTE:
Kemper got his bandage removed and the incision checked today, Dr. Miller said everything looked good. Kemper took his last pain med yesterday, but is still sleeping a lot, Dr. Miller said it will take a few days to wear off. Kemper wasn’t a cooperative patient, it took three people to control him while Dr. Miller worked on getting the bandage off. Dr. Miller left the bandage off so the incision could get air to dry it up and heal. Kemper went a little crazy shaking his head and scratching his ear, so he is now wearing both the donut and the cone – not happy, he is also on doggie Prozac for a few days to help keep him calm. Kemper is also on an oral and topical antibiotic, oral should be given twice a day with his food, topical to be applied to the incision, both inside and outside the ear.
