COMMENTS:
Rose had a fasting blood draw this morning, and since Cedric doesn’t normally arrive until almost noon, I let her sleep in so she wasn’t up too long before breakfast.  Her food was ready and she was able to eat as soon as her blood was drawn. Dr. Vesper went to church and the gym, he spent the rest of the day watching TV.   Since dinner was running late, we decided on Frisch’s.  While I was gone to pick up dinner, Jessica reported that Rose became very uncomfortable, but it had passed by the time I returned.  She had a very large and quick BM at bedtime, which could account for her discomfort.   Upon completion, she said “thank you very very much”,  I think she was referring to her level of relief!

COMMENTS:
Rose had a fairly significant seizure this morning, she started getting anxious at the end of breakfast and started perspiring heavily, her hair was wet and her robe was completely damp, she was very uncomfortable for almost 30 minutes. During this time her temperature was 98.2 and her blood pressure was 117/72. After all symptoms subsided, I gave Rose a shower and got her dressed. Once her shower was over, she had a long and very sound nap. Dr. Vesper also had an unusual day, he was still asleep when I arrived at 10, but got up shortly after my arrival. He ate breakfast, did his reading and was back in bed by 11a. It was 4:30p when he got up the 2nd time.

COMMENTS:
Rose was relaxed and cooperative during her shower, which moved things along rather quickly. She had a nice nap after her shower. After church and the gym, Dr. Vesper spent the afternoon reading and watching TV, but no nap. I put Rose in her old wheelchair after her 4:30 bathroom break so I could demonstrate the use of the Geri chair for Roberta. Other than the one bent caster, which makes steering most difficult, Roberta had no problems with the new chair.

Rose had a pretty average day, she napped in her chair sporadically throughout the afternoon. She ate well, but very slowly. Rose was up a little earlier than normal because Dr. Vesper had to be out the door early to attend lunch downtown with Stephanie and Jeb steed. I think Dr. Vesper enjoyed the afternoon, he mentioned how beautiful the downtown area was, also commented on Washington Park.

COMMENTS:
Rose was alert when she was awake, but she did spend a lot of time napping. Her new chair is sooo comfy she can’t stay awake. Also, it is difficult for her to have a “leaning day” in this chair, so hopefully, those days are over. Rose ate well today, left a few bites at dinner, but was starting to get tired. Dr. Vesper went to church and spent extra time at the gym. In between loads of laundry, I sent a lot of time on the phone making and receiving calls trying to locate new casters for Rose’s new chair.

COMMENTS:
Rose was Alert, relaxed and in a cheerful mood. She ate well, but very slowly, especially dinner. At bedtime, I ask her if she was still my friend and she replied “oh yeah, of course” – I’m such a lucky girl! Dr. Vesper had a lazy day, his big chore of the day was picking up the mail.

NOTE:
Made several phone calls regarding casters for new wheelchair, Pat @ Dr. wilson’s office for blood draw and new scripts, Krogers for script refills, David Breath for deer fence repairs, Kevin Werbrich for waterfall repair.
