COMMENTS:
Rose was very quiet and unfocused, but was awake and alert all day. She ate very well, especially dinner. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but only slept til 11:30. He spent the afternoon reading & watching TV. No naps in the afternoon.

NOTE:
I took the Geri chair to Lockland yesterday to get the two front casters replaced. It is much easier to steer, but doesn’t roll as well as I had hoped. The new casters are not the same as the old casters, but we hoped a substitute would work, since the original caster would have to be ordered from Germany and would take much longer. The steering issue has been resolved, and rolls well on hardwood, but not so well on carpet. These casters were only $41 and we can still opt to order the original casters if necessary.

COMMENTS:
Rose was awake and alert all day, she was not verbal, but, as always, responded well to her music.  When Susan arrived at 5p, she helped me get the Geri chair out the door and into the van. Rose was starting to get sleepy,  hope she made it through dinner.   I drove the van home tonight so I could take the Geri chair to Lockland tomorrow to get the bent caster replaced.  Dr. Vesper was having breakfast when I arrived at 10, he went back to bed and slept all day.  He didn’t come out of his room until almost 5:30p, however I did hear the TV in the bedroom around 5 o’clock.  I checked on him throughout the afternoon, sometimes he was asleep and other times he acknowledged my presence, but wasn’t ready to get up.  He seemed fine when he made his appearance at 5:30.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a nice long nap in the afternoon and was rested and alert for Charlie and Alicia’s visit, however they were unable to get any response from her.  Dr. Vesper went to church, but not the gym, he wasn’t sure what time Charlie and Alicia planned  to visit and he wanted to make sure he was home. Also, he had called Dale to start the tractor and he was due at 2p.  We had a slight mixup at Homestead, they failed to notify me that Roberta was not relieving me at 5p,  therefore I didn’t make dinner plans. Andrew called at 4:30 to say Charlie and Alicia were on their way,  since I wasn’t sure of their dinner plans we opted to wait.  When they arrived, we found out they had dinner plans with the Gephardt’s. After their visit, it it was so late, we decided on carry out from Frisch’s.
