COMMENTS:
I got a scare when I pulled in this morning, I was greeted by a New Richmond police squad car. Fortunately, nothing was wrong, the officer was here to get permission to bow hunt on Dr. Vesper’s property. Rose was a bear through her shower this morning, but calmed down and soon as it was over. She was very relaxed during dressing and as always, and a long and peaceful nap afterwards. She ate breakfast and lunch well, but didn’t do as well with her dinner. She ate all of her fruit, and of course her dessert, but only about half of her chicken Parma Rosa. Dr. Vesper was inside talking to Officer Collopy when I arrived. He was still in his pajamas and I finally had to interrupt with a time reminder for church. He went to church and the gym and had a quick nap before dinner. We celebrated Lily’s birthday with a great dinner (her choice), homemade birthday cake and ice cream, lots of nice cards and gifts.
NOTE: Dr. Vesper had a severe bout of dizziness when he got up from his nap. He said it has been going on for a year, but this is the first time I have personally witnessed the problem. It was so severe he was unable to walk unassisted. I got him to the yellow recliner and he sat there about an hour before getting up for dinner. He was still dizzy and required assistance from Andrew and I. After dinner the dizziness was gone. I checked his blood sugar, per Jennifer’s instructions, which was 119. He wouldn’t let me call Dr. Wilson, but I will report this information to Dr. Wilson’s nurse on Monday. CAREGIVERS: keep a close eye on him, especially when he gets up from a nap, make sure he drinks plenty of water and if he goes outside make sure he has his cell phone in his pocket.
