COMMENTS:
I got a scare when I pulled in this morning, I was greeted by a New Richmond police squad car. Fortunately, nothing was wrong, the officer was here to get permission to bow hunt on Dr. Vesper’s property.  Rose was a bear through her shower this morning, but calmed down and soon as it was over. She was very relaxed during dressing  and as always, and a long and peaceful nap afterwards. She ate breakfast and lunch well, but didn’t do as well with her dinner. She ate all of her fruit, and of course her dessert, but only about half of her chicken Parma Rosa.  Dr. Vesper was inside talking to Officer Collopy when I arrived.  He was still in his pajamas and I finally had to interrupt with a time reminder for church.  He went to church and the gym and had a quick nap before dinner. We celebrated Lily’s birthday with a great dinner (her choice), homemade birthday cake and ice cream, lots of nice cards and gifts.

NOTE:  Dr. Vesper had a severe bout of dizziness when he got up from his nap. He said it has been going on for a year, but this is the first time I have personally witnessed the problem.  It was so severe he was unable to walk unassisted. I got him to the yellow recliner and he sat there about an hour before  getting up for dinner. He was still dizzy and required assistance from Andrew and I. After dinner the dizziness was gone. I checked his blood sugar, per Jennifer’s instructions, which was 119.  He wouldn’t let me call Dr. Wilson, but I will report this information to Dr. Wilson’s nurse on Monday. CAREGIVERS:  keep a close eye on him, especially when he gets up from a nap,  make sure he drinks plenty of water and if he goes outside make sure he has his cell phone in his pocket.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a comfortable day until after dinner. She became very vocal about her discomfort, seemed to be in pain.  I started getting her ready for bed at 8p, thought it might be a bathroom issue. Even though she only urinated, she seemed much happier once she was tucked in her bed.  Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but was back up by noon. He decided to bush hog the hill, but couldn’t get the emergency brake off, opted for reading and watching TV.

Rose was very quiet, but was happy and alert. She ate very well and had a nice nap. Dr. Vesper ate breakfast and was back in bed before I arrived.  He came out of the bedroom at 11a, fully dressed and ready to go to the farm. The gate lock had been cut off the night before and he was concerned about  what might have been stolen.  He made Kemperor  go with him, I think he wanted him for protection.  He was relieved to find nothing missing.

COMMENTS:
Rose was much more comfortable today, she was relaxed, ate well and had a nice nap.   Stephanie picked Dr. Vesper up and they went to the farm, hopefully he got it out of his system for a while.  We had a bit of excitement after dinner tonight, discovered a snake in the kitchen floor. Had to lock Kemper in the hallway until he calmed down.  Dr. Vesper wanted to pick it up barehanded, but I made him use the dustpan and broom. I’m told most snakes in Clermont County are non-poisonous, but no guarantees.

COMMENTS:
Rose  had a very restless day, she seemed uncomfortable even while napping. Fortunately, she did finally have a large BM at bedtime, should have a better day tomorrow. Dr. Vesper  prepared to go to the farm with Stephanie today and waited patiently, but  Stephanie was unaware of his plans. He did go to evening mass,  which got him out of the house for a few hours. I put a roast in the oven in the afternoon and had a nice hearty dinner when he arrived home from church.
