COMMENTS:
Rose had a dental appointment this afternoon, which meant we needed to hustle.  Fortunately, Rose was in a relaxed mood and very easy to work with. We were ready and out the door in plenty of time to make her 2 PM appointment. She had a great check up, no cavities  and very little tartar/plaque.  Rose and I picked up a Dewey’s pizza and salad for dinner tonight on our way home.  The pizza was delicious, they both had (2) large pieces and a hefty salad.  Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast and was still sleeping when we left, he was up and dressed when we return.

COMMENTS:
Rose was moaning loudly when I arrived, Dr. Vesper informed me that she had been moaning for almost an hour when I arrived. I immediately checked her out thoroughly and other than being totally saturated, I could find no apparent reason for her discomfort. By the time I got her into the bathroom she had stopped moaning and was very relaxed, even smiling.  I would have given her a shower today since she didn’t get one last week, but since she has a dental appointment tomorrow, I opted to wait until tomorrow morning, however she did get a thorough sponge bath.  She was very relaxed all day and kept falling asleep, she snoozed between sponge bath and breakfast, between breakfast and lunch,  and again between lunch and 4:30 toileting.  Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast and slept until I gave him a wake up call at 11:15. He left for church and the gym at 11:30a.  For some odd reason, even though they are both scheduled to get flu shots at Dr. Wilson’s office in two weeks, he decided to go to Kroger’s after the gym to get a flu shot.

NOTE:
Kemper had been sick last night (not sure which end it came from) but it was in several areas of the family room, including hardwood, carpet & door mats.   Cleanup had to wait until I took care of Rose, the odor was unpleasant, to say the least, but the “queen” always comes first????

Laundry room sink was completely clogged with standing water, had to do laundry on other side. I poured liquid plumber in the sink and ask Susan to flush with hot water later this evening.

COMMENTS:
Rose got up in a good mood, was cheerful thrugh breakfast and then the proverbial brick wall – not t a happy camper during her shower. She was very rigid, appeared uncomfortable, but couldn’t locate the source of her discomfort. Once dressed, she was fine and back to her happy self. Dr. Vesper went to church and the gym, and then went through the mail and watched TV.

NOTE:
Kemper had been scratching & biting a lot this past week. I kept checking him for fleas, but didn’t see any. By midweek, a white flaky dandruff was showing up on his fur and his skin had several scabby patches. I was able to get him in to see Dr. MIller this afternoon. Kemper did have a few fleas, which he was treated for. He was also given a cortisone shot for the skin allergies and sent home with a 14 day supply of antibiotics to be given 2Xs daily.

She did start showing signs of fatigue and discomfort just before bedtime, which dissipated once she was in bed. Dr. Vesper had his usual Wednesday, church and the gym.  He also did his monthly greeting card shopping for October.  He had a protein bar and a hot chocolate when he arrived home, and wasn’t hungry at normal dinner time, so we had a late “soup and sandwich” night.

Rose ate extremely well today.  Dr. Vesper slept until 2:30, he was up earlier, ate breakfast and went back to bed.  It was a beautiful fall day, but I couldn’t talked him into going outside, except to pick up the mail.  Rose did not receive her a.m. meds until I arrived.

COMMENTS:
Rose was alert and awake all afternoon, but fell asleep just as Susan arrive at 5p.  I turned on the TV for background noise and Rose focused in immediately, appeared to be very interested in the football game.  Dr. Vesper had been up, ate breakfast and was back in bed when I arrived. Rose’s a.m. medication was still sitting on the counter, I gave it to her immediately upon arriving. It was about 5:15p when he ventured out of the bedroom. However, I did hear the TV on in the his bedroom, later it was off and when I checked on him, how was sleeping. No apparent dizziness when he came to the living room.
