COMMENTS:
Rose was her usual quiet self today, she ate well, was alert and observant.  Rose became very chatty at bedtime, we have some of  our more interesting conversations while on the commode.  Dr. Vesper had been up, ate breakfast and was back in bed before I arrived. I woke him at 11a to get ready for church, he reminded me it was Tuesday and went back to sleep, didn’t get up until 3p.  I picked up the mail when I dropped off the garbage cans, so he didn’t have to go out in the rain.  He spent the rest of the day reading and watching TV with Rose and his (2) lazy animals.

COMMENTS:
Rose had an average day, ate well and was in a pleasant mood.  She took a late afternoon nap and woke up refreshed and ready for dinner.  We couldn’t find Dr. @ Vesper’s cell phone before he left for church this morning. He had a 3p appointment with Dr. Wilson, a follow up from his ER visit before Christmas.  I gave him a verbal and written reminder note, but I always like to call him just to make sure. Since he didn’t have his cell phone, I called the gym before he arrived and asked them to give him a message to call home.  When I didn’t hear from him, I called the gym a second time to leave another message, even though I told them it was important, he never got the message and came home instead of going to Dr. Wilson’s office.  He would have still been on time, but he got a little lost and was about 15 minutes late. Dr. Wilson’s nurse called me later to say he checked out fine, lungs were all clear. Dr. Wilson also checked his legs, but was unable to find the source of his leg pain from last week. The rest of the evening was routine and uneventful.

Jeannie – Tax prep

COMMENTS:
Rose was wide-awake when I arrived, so I got her up and we got an early start to our day.  Jeannie came in early as well, she was here @ 10a to get started on taxes.  Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but was back up by 1p.  The newspaper was left by the gate, so he didn’t get to read it until he got up the second time.  I think we reached a high of  17° today, so no one wanted to go outside,  but I volunteered to get the mail so he wouldn’t have to go out, which he greatly appreciated.  He spent the afternoon reading and watching TV by the fire, with Hillary asleep in his lap, Kemper asleep by his feet and Rose alsleep by his side – whatever more could one want?

COMMENTS:
Rose have a quiet and relaxed day, breakfast followed by a nice hot shower and a good nap after lunch and 2 PM meds.  Dr. Vesper was just finishing his breakfast when I arrived, he went back to bed and got up just in time for church in the gym.  Our low temperature this morning was 8° so I warmed his car up and made sure he was dressed warmly with his heavy top coat, scarf, hat and gloves.  He had a protein bar and hot chocolate to warm him up when he got home at 3p.  Dinner ran a little late because he decided to take a nap at 5p, but all was well, I made up the time with an easy dinner.

Rose was up, dressed and finished with breakfast before I had to leave at 10:45a to take Hillary to the vet for her follow up appointment. Elena took care of Rose while I was gone. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast, but Elena was able to get in the bedroom to change the sheets while he was having breakfast.  He was back up at 1:30p. I drove up to pick up the mail, which kept him busy  until Jimmy arrived, they had a nice visit.  Jimmy drove through the dip and cleared the snow as he ccame in.  I started a beef stew in the crockpot early this morning so I would have the afternoon to work on  getting all of the Christmas decorations down and stored, which worked very well, a great hot & hearty meal for a cold snowy day.

COMMENTS:
I did the grocery shopping today instead of tomorrow, due to expected inclement weather. I got Rose up and dressed as soon as I arrived.  Rose was quiet but alert, she was in her serious mood today. As usual, Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast and slept until I got him up at 11 for church. He went to the gym after church and arrived home at 2:30,  he spent the rest of the evening visiting, reading and watching TV. He complained about calf muscle pain, but said it felt better after he took Aleve.
