COMMENTS:
I had a quiet morning, with Kemper & Hillary and a good cup of coffee while I waited for Rose to wake. I fed Kemper and Hillary and did a few chores, when I checked on Rose at 9a, she was awake and ready to get up. Rose had a good morning, and a nice nap after lunch. Jeannie came to get a few extra hours in today. The Hayslip clan came over in the afternoon, the kids gave Kemper a good workout playing outside. I ordered pizza, made a salad and they stayed for dinner, we had a nice relaxing evening.  They had just left when Stephanie stopped by for a short visit just before bedtime.

COMMENTS:
Rose and I were up early this morning, Rose was very quiet today, but she did seem to focus on TV. I had the TV on with the inauguration activities on going most of the day, she enjoyed the lively patriotic music played by the bands in the parade.  She didn’t take a nap today, but did start getting sleepy earlier than usual.  I gave her p.m. meds and started getting her ready for bed, she was snoring by 8:30.  Dr. Vesper called in the afternoon, sounds like he’s having a relaxing trip. I think he was disappointed  that he wasn’t able to get a verbal response from Rose.

NOTE:
I had a very disturbing phone call this morning from Mayor Romona Carr, the gazebo at the Rose Vesper Park was completely 100% destroyed by vandals last night. I know Dr. Vesper will be upset and very disappointed in this behavior, and for that reason I will withhold this information from him until he returns from vacation next Tuesday.

COMMENTS:
Rose was up early, had breakfast and was dressed and ready for her family  by noon.  She was starting to get sleepy about the time everyone arrived, she took a short 20 minute nap and was much more alert and focused when she woke.   We invited Rose’s siblings out for lunch today, they brought most of the food, Elena made a delishous trifle for dessert & I made an assortment of chips, dips, cheese & fruit tray. Everyone had a good afternoon.  Bobby was in rare form and Helen had her hands full, but I think she enjoyed spending time with others.  Rose and I had a quiet evening with Kemper and Hillary. We had dinner, p.m. meds  and in bed watching TV by 8:45

COMMENTS:
Rose slept very well last night, she should have, she had 90% of the bed, now I know what Dr. Vesper goes through:)  Rose was awake at eight and ready to get up, so we got an early start to our day. I did the laundry and a little routine cleaning while Rose napped.  We also did some exercises and listen to music in the afternoon. Rose had her p.m. meds and we were all in bed by 9p.  No call from Dr. Vesper today, the girls must have kept him busy.  Rose is hosting a sibling luncheon at noon tomorrow, so we’lll need to get an early start in the morning.

Stephanie – Drove Dr. Vesper to the airport

COMMENTS:
I arrived early this morning in order to get Dr. Vesper up, finish his packing and have him ready for Stephanie when she arrived at 9a.  He was slow at completing his morning routine and still not dressed when Stephanie arrived, but we managed to get him out the door almost on time. Rose was up by 10a, had a good breakfast and was ready for her shower much earlier than usual. Rose spent the afternoon napping, while I spent most of the afternoon doing laundry. The washer had a black sticky substance all around the inside of the tub, which appeared to be tar.  Unfortunately, I didn’t see it until the first load came out, which happened to be a snow white blanket.  I made several attempts at pretreating before finally getting it all off of the blanket, then cleaned the tub and re-washed the blanket.  The bedding laundry took most of the afternoon, didn’t get much else accomplished, other than routine cleaning.  Dr. Vesper gave us a call to let us know he & Joan  had made it to Mary’s and he was enjoying the nice warm sunshine,  he called again a few hours later,  I put the phone on speaker and even though Rose didn’t talk,  she did said “bye”at the end of the conversation, which made him happy.  Rose had her p.m. meds and was tucked in a little before nine.

Elena – Cleaned

COMMENTS:
Rose got her Friday shower today, since I’m taking off tomorrow for a long weekend in sunny Miami. For a change, she was very cooperative with showering and dressing. Rose had a nice long nap in the afternoon. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after breakfast this morning, but I got him up at 1p so Elena could change the bed and clean the bedroom. I was glad Elena was here today, since I didn’t have to spend time cleaning, I was able to start getting Dr. Vesper ready for his trip to Sanabel next week. Since I am off this weekend, I’ll be getting back the day he leaves, which meant his packing needed to be done today.

NOTE:
Drain in laundry room completely stopped up, I have put liquid plumber in twice this week, but didn’t solve the problem. I called Cropper Plumbing today, but Lowell can’t come out until Monday afternoon. Please don’t use washer, there is no dirty laundry at the moment, but if it’s necessary to wash bedding or PJs, please use washer in laundry room next to garage.

Rose was in a pleasant & relaxed mood today, she ate well and took a good nap in the afternoon. Dr. Vesper ate breakfast and went back to bed, got up at 11a for church and the gym. He was a little later today than normal, said he worked out a little longer.
