Rusk Heating & AC (Brock) – Spring AC service

COMMENTS:
Rose was her usual sweet self, but very quite today, she ate well and had a nice nap in the afternoon. Dr. Vesper had just gotten up and started his breakfast when I arrive. After eating and reading the newspaper, he went back to bed, didn’t get up until almost 3p. He spent the rest of the afternoon going through the mail, reading and watching TV. After dinner he decided to see if the ground had dried up enough to get the truck unstuck, unfortunately (or fortunately) he couldn’t find the truck keys. He and Rose watched TV while I did the dishes, cleaned up the kitchen and prepared for bedtime routine.

VISITORS/WORKERS:
Tracy Damewood / Home Instead – Home visit

COMMENTS:
Rose was up, dressed and finished with breakfast by the time Dr Vesper got up (2nd time) for church and the gym. Tracy (Home Instead) texted to say she would be stopping by for a visit this afternoon. Not certain of her exact time, I gave Rose an early lunch, which worked great, because Tracy arrived just as Rose finished lunch.  Tracy was mostly interested in seeing the lift system and after a short tour of bed & bathroom routine, she said goodbye to Rose & Dr. Vesper.  Dr. Vesper had received a standard letter from Subaru yesterday advising him it is time for his 18,000 mile check up, even though he only has 5000 miles on his car.  He decided to skip the gym today and  went directly to Subaru to get the suggested service items taken care of after church.  Of course, they told him he needed to set an appointment and come back later. I wasn’t aware that he had received the letter yesterday, I don’t think he needs to have this work done, but I will call the service department tomorrow to make sure.  Shortly before dinner Dr. Vesper decided to take a truck load of sticks (Sandy picked up, but hadn’t had time to empty) up to the dip to dispose of.  I was able to talk him out of that idea, then he decided to empty them in back of his stacks of wood along the fence line. I reminded him that we had had several days of heavy rain and was afraid he might get stuck, but he insisted he had to put the stick somewhere. Yes, the truck is stuck in the mud!  He is so eager to get outside and do something, it’s difficult to keep him out of trouble.  Dinner, cleanup, meds and bedtime routine all normal.

COMMENTS:
Rose was happy today, she listen to music and was more verbal today. Dr. Vesper was up and had breakfast, then went back to bed for a few hours.  He picked up the mail, read and watched TV the rest of the afternoon.  It was a damp and dreary day, rained often on until late afternoon, not a nice day to go outside.  While they watching TV, I spent extra time cleaning since Elena wasn’t able to come again today.

NOTE:
Hillary finished her antibiotic today, so far she seems to be doing fine.

COMMENTS:
Rose had a comfortable day, she ate well and had a nice nap.  Her bedtime toileting was somewhat stressful,  she had a large bowel movement which took a long time to complete, this added to her fatigue and her normal rigidity became more severe. she was very happy to be in bed.  Dr. Vesper got up late this morning, which meant no snuggling after breakfast. He was home from the gym around 3p, didn’t do as much reading today, mostly watched TV.  Dinner, clean up and bedtime prop all routine.

Don Marcum Pools – Replaced pool cover pump

COMMENTS:
Rose had a nice relaxing bath after breakfast. The water was much softer, now that the water softener has been repaired.  She was somewhat rigid during her shower and dressing, but relaxed and took a nice nap afterwards. Dr. Vesper went back to bed after  breakfast, but got up around noon when he heard the pool guys outside his window, Don Marcum Pools came to replace the pool cover pump. Sandy discovered the pump wasn’t working when she was here over the weekend, I called and they said they would drop off a new one since it was under warranty. Dr. Vesper spent his afternoon reading and watching TV. More TV and reading after dinner. Meds & bedtime prep all routine
