BREAKFAST: cereal, blueberry scone and coffee

LUNCH: 1/2 chicken salad sandwhich and a banana.

COMMENTS: I arrived early just to familiarize myself to things again. I think Hillary had coughed up a fur ball at the front entrance. I cleaned it up and looked up to see Dr. Vesper coming into the kitchen without his walker. He said he had to go to the restroom but was going to fall. I stood him against the wall and reached around the corner for his wheelchair. It’s a good thing I came in early.
He is having a hard time with me wearing a mask. He can’t understand me most of the time and tries to not look at me (the odd lady with a mask on her face). I do take it off when across the room from him.

VISITORS: n/a

EXERCISES: yes

BLOOD GLUCOSE: n/a

BREAKFAST: cereal and blueberry scone

LUNCH: 1/2 chicken salad sandwhich and tangerine. He ate very well.

COMMENTS: Dr. Vesper wide awake and out of bed by 10:30. Into the kitchen for breakfast. I think the most challenging part of the day is taking his meds. I may try crushing with applesauce. Doing well drinking his pedialyte. He doesn’t seem to mind the orange flavor. Very little in the urinal this morning despite his increased thirst. Prednisone can make you hungry and thirsty which could be why he is drinking more. I can not pull down the lid for the coffee maker so he didn’t have coffee this morning. He hasn’t been drinking much coffee during my shifts over the last few months.

Dr. Vesper drank 3 full cups of pedialyte 👍

3:40pm brief was wet with some fecal smears. Changed brief and cleaned him up. When I told Dr. Vesper it was time to go to the restroom he replied that he has been resting all afternoon 😀
On the trip to the RR Dr. Vesper asked to walk but only made it as far as the front door.
Mossy told me she walks behind him with the wheelchair so I started doing it also and it was a good thing this time!
