CHORES: cleaned cat litter, fed hillary and Kemper. Washed a few dishes, made a salad for dr Vesper’s dinner.

NOTES: I checked on dr. Vesper at 10 a.m. this morning. He was sleeping soundly however his bedroom door was wide open, which was odd. Dr. Vesper up @ 10:50, into rr for sponge bath and fresh pjs. Dr. Vesper made several rr trips today. Could he have a uti?

LUNCH: 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and a banana

NOTES: Dr. Vesper actually agreed to get up on time this morning. He wanted to walk to the rr but almost fell at the doorway of his bedroom so I put him in the chair. He ate all his breakfast in a timely manner.
Dr. Vesper doesn’t most of the day sleeping.

DINNER: salad, single decker ham and cheese, French fries, pickle and cherry 7up

NOTES: updated by Stephanie. She mentioned that Dr. Vesper had asked her about dinner so we went ahead and sat for dinner. Dr. Vesper seems to throughly enjoy his salad. Both this evening and yesterday evening he ate it quickly. But he doesn’t seem as enthused about the remainder of the meal.

ARRIVED: 9:40am

CHORES: fed Kemper, made bed, washed a few dishes, wiped counter tops. Made a salad for Dr. Vesper’s dinner and set the table.

EXERCISE: yes

VISITORS: Mossy, delivery woman (wrong address)

BLOOD GLUCOSE: 197 2 units insulin

BREAKFAST: cereal, egg crackers with goetta.

LUNCH: a banana and crackers with pimento cheese.

DINNER: salad, chicken pot pie and cherry 7up

NOTES: Dr. Vesper stayed in bed until close to 11am. Than into rr, changed and washed up. Into the kitchen for breakfast. Than to recliner where he napped most of the day.
When serving lunch he did not wake up right away. I gently touched his shoulder and said his name but I had to nudge firmly to rouse him.
Dr Vesper kept drifting back to sleep throughout lunch.
On the way to bed, Dr. Vesper repeatedly commented about how he slept all day.

BLOOD GLUCOSE: n/a

BREAKFAST: cereal, blueberry scone

LUNCH: 3/4 chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwich, grapes

NOTES: Shortly after I arrived I heard Dr Vesper’s walker, I went to check on him and he was just sitting down on the bed. He said he had been to the the rr but if so, I didn’t hear him. He laid back down and said he wasn’t ready to get up. Dr Vesper up by 10:25 and he walked into rr, he was wet but not soaked, changed his brief and into fresh pj’s. Than to breakfast. He walked more than half way before sitting down in the wc
Dr Vesper saw the paper on the table and inquired about the President being in the hospital. I reminded him about the virus and that was why we are having to wear masks. After explaining the President’s situation I commented that I wondered what Rose would think of everything going on but he did not reply.
Dr. Vesper has a cough. Not coughing continously but enough for me to take notice.
Dr. Vesper had a good day, he was stronger than I have seen him on previous shifts

LUNCH: 1/2 Turkey and cheese sandwich and a banana

NOTES: Dr Vesper up by 10:40 and into rr for sponge bath and fresh pj’s. Than to breakfast. He was in his usual friendly mood. He slept a lot through the day. He ate both meals quickly and finished 100%

BLOOD GLUCOSE: n/a

BREAKFAST: cereal, blueberry scone

LUNCH: 1/2 chicken salad sandwich, pear and cookie. He did not eat much. 1/4 of sandwich, 2 pear slices and entire cookie.

NOTES: Dr Vesper up by 10:20 and into the rr to get cleaned up and dressed for the day. Into the kitchen for breakfast. He asked me to explain the reason for face masks and we talked a little about the virus. After breakfast he went to the recliner to watch tv. Dr. Vesper slept most of the morning but became more alert in the afternoon. We sat out back for about 20 minutes before lunch.
